Fantastic place to get your steps in. Was a chilly February day so the pond had frozen over. Will certainly come back in warmer months when Musicians Corner is happening. Can’t miss the Parthenon. Was a joy to see both people and dogs enjoying the sunny but chilly day at the park 🐶
The interior upstairs is a replica of the Parthenon. The outside is also a replica. Inside, the lower level is a small art museum. It will take you 20-30 minutes to walk through, if you stop to look at every photo. It’s a very small museum. I would say since the tickets are only $15, it was worth it considering we got to see something we’ve never seen before. Would I go again? No. Once is enough. Was it cool to see? Yes. Was I glad I went? Yes. Note: there are a LOT of homeless people along the sides chilling. None of them panhandled or bothered us.
I haven’t been to the Parthenon in over 20 years! Absolutely beautiful! Greek history! The layout of centennial park has always been grand! 10 dollar entry. Lots of free parking and other great sites outside the Parthenon, even a walking sidewalk trail if you enjoy jogging! Great for picnics, kite flying and a man made pond/lake for fishing. Very peaceful and lovely landscaping. Will definitely recommend!!!
My niece got married here , her wedding was beautiful. Catering was great. Only thing was the lady at the booth was pretty rude. For such a beautiful place they need someone that is at the front of the door to be more polite.
Lovely park. Very spacious. Lots of activity but plenty of space. We did not tour the Parthenon but the outside is beautiful. Worth the visit on a nice day.
Honestly the highlight of Nashville! Centennial Park is perfect for taking in the scenery, going on a walk, or having a small picnic. My fiance and I were lucky enough to visit during an international festival held there! There is plenty of shade during the summer, which was a much welcome change from the pavement and sidewalks of the rest of the city.
Centennial park is beautiful. It can be enjoyed in so many manners. If you like history, architecture, flowers, exercise, all together in a peaceful and harmonious space, this park excels at all. Personally I enjoyed the flowers and the Parthenon, the pond and the ducks.
