Prairie View Lake & Rec Area

Parking is close to the picnic shelter which is close to the lake. You get shade, picnic tables, grills and a lovely view. It's always a pleasure to visit.

The submerged weeds are right at the surface, makes it difficult to fish. Especially from the shore. Lots of submerged trees. Had some good luck catching a few bass. 15" was the standard size caught. Clean park. A handful of folks came and went, walking the trail. Not overly busy.

Bank fishing is very difficult due to the seaweed all around the shore. Beautiful lake, but it is geared for boat fishing apparently.

Very clean park nice trails, Well kept. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the alge is already heavey on 30 percent of the lake, and it's just the middle of May.

Has a ton of awesome spots for fishing. Tons of geese so beware if birds aren't your thing. Unfortunately there was a ton of moss and weeds when I went so I didn't get a chance to catch anything.

Clean Facilities and grounds. Hiking trails and plenty of areas for fishing from the shore, as well as boat launch area.
