Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Francisco Fishermans Wharf by IHG

Hotel service is top notch. Held our bags until we could check in and were very helpful on where to eat, drink and shop. Very clean and secure. The complimentary breakfast is very good as well. Would be nicer if rooms had a couch or regular chair. It is located within short walking distance of pier 39, pier 33(Alcatraz shuttle),fisherman's warf, Ghirardelli Square and Lombard street. Short walk to shopping and tons of food options(must try Fog Harbour Fish House) great value

We had an amazing weekend in San Fran and it all started with checking in here. The customer service is right on, the staff was kind and patient is recommending places to go and places to eat. The house staff we came in contact in were all welcoming every time, our room staff was Lisa Li and she was on top our room. Nothing beats coming back after a long day to a fresh room, we were very grateful for her and the housekeeping staff. The hotel is very clean, the location kept us in a short walking distance to everything we needed, drugstores, Trader Joe's, the Water, the Pier, everything is really close. Beds were very comfy, bathrooms were spotless. Will 100% return!

The location was fantastic. Two blocks walk to Fisherman's Wharf and one block walk to the Powell/Mason cable car turnaround. Besides that, this is a pretty basic hotel. The vallet parking was convenient and professional, but pricey at $65 a day. The room was spacious and clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. The walls are thin and the view was abysmal, looking out on what might be called a "courtyard" but is really just an empty space with a view of other room's windows. I guess there's natural lighting. Breakfast was mediocre but on par for your average hotel. No bacon any of the four mornings we ate there. No waffles, only a pancake making machine. Coffee was freshly ground, but watery. The worst part was on the morning of our check out, noticing the $30 a day charge for "amenities." When I inquired they said it was like a resort fee, to cover the complementary coffee and free wifi. Um, those aren't complementary or free if I'm paying $30 a day for them and on top of that, THE WIFI NEVER EVEN WORKED! I would have complained about that one the first night if I had known how much extra I'd be paying for that "amenity!" Read the fine print I guess.

Stayed here recently and loved it. Highly recommended, especially with how Oscar handled our departure during the valet service… he was terrific and excelled in all areas… although my hubby and I were in a clean room at the IHG floor level, I had one issue: nothing to see from the windows. I expressly asked for an upgrade to the highest floor because of the view, but it seemed the front desk did not hear my request. Anyway, loved the interior of the room, one of the best beds ever, just the noise, oh wow, but I am okay with that, had earbuds. The real five stars here are the location and breakfast; it's perfect… their 24-hour fresh-grind coffee was the best… the one thing disappointing was the lady at the desk who was managing tours near the fitness center. My hubby and I saw her pick up bagels with her bare hands and then put them back… that was really gross! The amenities are superb, and the appreciation for elite membership is excellent… Highly recommended.. The valet in and out $70 but it's all worth it because of all break-ins in SF, I will never take risk or just take public transportation...

We stayed here for 1 night during New Year’s Eve. The location is prime, walkable to Fishermen’s Wharf. We had booked a family room. The room was neat and tidy. However the bathrooms had barn doors with no locks and sides open. I found this ridiculous and made using the toilets uncomfortable. They have valet service and charge 65$ + tax. The service was extremely slow that evening. They boast of pre requesting the car so it’s ready when we arrive at the lobby, however that service was not working during our stay. The morning breakfast options were good and we enjoyed them.

The hotel is in a prime location, within walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf, many great restaurants, and even a Trader Joe’s for quick snacks. Despite being super crowded during our stay, the breakfast was decent, and our room was cleaned every day. The housekeeping team works very hard and we really appreciate it. There’s also Bus No. 28 just around the corner, which takes you straight to the Golden Gate Bridge. So convenient!
