The Cochrane House Luxury Historic Inn Detroit

I had the pleasure of staying at The Cochrane House for several days, and the experience was wonderful. Each day I was greeted with the same kindness and professionalism. The house was very clean, comfortable, peaceful, and truly relaxing. The home-cooked breakfasts were absolutely delicious! It has the intimacy of a bed and breakfast with the feel of a luxury hotel. If you live in the city and need a getaway without going away, this is the place. I highly recommend the Rhythm Section Suite. I look forward to my next stay.

The Cochrane House is exquisite! My husband and I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and we were a little leery at first. One of the owners of the home greeted us and accommodated all of our needs. The service is top notch! The house is immaculately clean. It is very modern and has amazing decor. The location is perfect. I definitely recommend The Cochrane House!

The Cochrane House is an absolute gem in Detroit. This beautiful historic home is perfectly located—close to everything—yet feels like a true escape. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made the entire stay feel special from start to finish. And the breakfast… hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and such a memorable part of the experience. If you’re looking for a fun, unique, and affordable place to stay, this Detroit bed and breakfast is a must. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed here for three nights coming from Canada to watch an NFL game. By far the best stay anywhere, ever. We chose to stay at this bed and breakfast over a hotel which is where we typically stay when we travel, we chose it based on the reviews and wanting to be tucked away from downtown but still close to all things downtown. ||This location is perfect and is walking distance to everything downtown Detroit has to offer. Walking distance to all sporting arenas.||The hostesses Rica and Cina are the most lovely sisters who welcomed us upon arrival, showed us their property and made us breakfast every morning. Thank you!||Breakfast was delicious, every morning. We had their homemade biscuits which were unlike anything either of us have ever had before. Fluffy and sweet with a little crisp on the outside, like a tasty little donut cloud.||We had the largest room of 3. Ours had a steam shower, a beautiful leather couch, tons of storage and a huge TV. The bed was super soft and very comfy with lots of great pillow choices. They let us peek in the other rooms as they were all vacant and they were just as beautiful. I noticed they all had huge soaker tubs. ||Book this place over a hotel, you will not be disappointed. ||Thank you for having us in your home, you have made us feel right at home when so far away.||Jay + Jodie

This was one of the best stays I have had anywhere! The hosts were so amazing & some of the KINDEST people I’ve ever met! The soaking tub was exactly what I needed in my life & they have the best bath salts to go with it! If you are looking for a relaxing night away this is the place 🙂 Couldn’t say enough good things about this place, & the food was amazing & reason enough to book again. Thank you guys for creating this lovely space & making everyone feel so so welcome.

My husband and I stayed at The Cochrane House for a night away and were very happy. The atmosphere is very inviting and our hosts, Rica and Cina, made us feel like family, even though it was our first time. We’ve never stayed in a bed & breakfast before, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Everything on our breakfast plates was hot, fresh, and delicious. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

This place was just perfect! The home and rooms are just beautiful! The sisters that run the place are delightful! They truly love what they do and it shows. The home sits in a peaceful neighborhood close to more venues than I could count. The parking is free and convenient. I can't go on enough about the breakfast delivered to our room! I truly can't say enough about how truly wonderful our stay here was! We will definitely make this our go to place when staying in Detroit!
