We had a wonderful stay at the Westin on Beale Street in Memphis, and I especially want to commend Angel for her exceptional customer service skills. She was professional, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure our stay was comfortable and seamless. Angel handled every request with efficiency and a great attitude, and her ability to anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful accommodations truly stood out. It’s clear she takes great pride in her work and represents the Westin brand with excellence. Outstanding service like this makes a stay memorable. Thank you, Angel, for going above and beyond!!!

Probably the easiest 5 stars I have given in a while. We spent 2nights/3 days at the Westin and could not find fault anywhere. The location (1 block from Beale, 1 block from the Rock and Soul Museum, 1 block from FedEx Arena) makes most of the key downtown attractions easily accessible. Sun Studio, STAX Records, the Lorraine are a 5 min drive or even walkable. The rooms are big and nicely equipped. The bathroom had a tub and walk in shower. Our huge windows overlooked Silky O'Sullivan's patio and Beal St. The Peabody ducks can be seen if you stare hard. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our tour supplied our own concierge. Breakfast was served hot and while not exotic it was filling. The room had an odd Starbucks coffee maker that took some figuring out. My only critiques is the hotel ATM had a distorted screen that made it unusable. In my Pretoria research I found a few negative reviews of the Westin. To each his own but after 3 days, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or come back.

Positive: The location is amazing, right across from the stadium and two blocks from Beale Street. Good size rooms and fair-priced public parking garage next door with a direct elevator in the hotel (same place the valet parks the cars at a much higher rate). Negative: The hotel is totally adequate but the quality of the rooms and cleanliness is more of a 3 or 3.5 star hotel than a 4-star. The staff is mixed in being helpful.

Had a wonderful stay and the property was beautifully maintained. I had a small issue with the billing but Ida and her GM made sure to help correcting it right away. As a titanium elite member of Marriott, I really appreciated their service.

My husband wanted to surprise me with a weekend getaway for Valentine's day. He planned out every detail and of course booked us a room with a king size bed. When we got there, we were given a room with two queen beds. We went back down to the front desk, and were told that they just didn't have any king size rooms available, though that is exactly what we booked. No one ever said that they were sorry for the inconvenience, instead we were told that this happens all the time. The lady even said that it's just like at Walmart when you look online and see something on the shelves, that doesn't mean it's available in the store. But this isn't an order from walmart, this is hundreds of dollars spent on a hotel room for a romantic getaway. If we had known that they didn't have king size beds available, we would have booked elsewhere. We were offered nothing, no apology, no complimentary breakfast, nothing. There was no manager available to talk to.

The westin is a great brand and typically its the better version of hotel chains. I would like to see this location updated it's the cloest hotel in proximity to fedex forum and it is deserving of a complete renovation face lift. The staff is excellent, but the rooms are not the standard for the price.

Our experience at the Westin on Beale has been terrible. From the moment we arrived it has been regrettable. We are staying here for a conference and this was the chosen location. I will never stay here again and urge anyone looking to go to any other hotel. Upon arrival our room was already occupied. We immediately went downstairs to request a new room. There was no apology. There was also no other room available except a queen which would not work. We left and came back and were eventually given another room. The new room was in terrible shape. The mini fridge was broken so I couldn’t put my water or drinks to have later. The wallpaper is peeling and the carpet is balding. There are eyelashes and mold all over the bathroom walls. The towels appeared dirty and covered in stains. The bathroom itself is very old and the shower is so small you can barely move. This is the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had at a "4 star hotel". The hallway ice machine looks rundown and the overall hotel seems dirty and in disrepair. The valet staff is nice enough so I gave 2 stars. The location is fine and right on Beale. But if you drive or need to uber it’s blocked off by police making it very difficult to get in and out and will take a long time. There are better places to stay nearby. This place needs to be shut down for health and safety.
