The Muse Gallery Guesthouse

This was so much better than a hotel! Free secure parking, easy stroll to great restaurants and coffe shops, and a healthy and filling breakfast! Mary & Andrew are delightful and welcoming. They are very intuitive to what we might need, and the rooms were beautifully appointed. We stayed in Julia’s room and we loved the big bathtub! if we ever venture back to Milwaukee, this is where we will stay.

This is our second time staying at The Muse. It's a wonderful vintage house on a quiet street literally steps from all of the amazing businesses and culture in Bayview. Mary Ellen is a great communicator and made arrival super easy. We stayed in the Angela room again, which is spacious and cozy, and the bed is very comfortable. We preferred to sleep late on our second day, so she made sure there were some breakfast items to get us going. She made us a wonderful breakfast the next day that we lingered over, chatting a long time. ||It was great to revisit The Vanguard for brats, fries and a beer--with great service. A cocktail at At Random is a must, and dinner at GoodKind was exceptional and fun. Such a great room and joyful service. If you need to hang out and watch a Packers game and want to feel like you're at an event, The Newport is for you. Record shopping at ACME, a glass of wine at Voyager and a long walk to and through Humboldt Park make the trip complete. Oh, and be sure to check out Groppi Food Market for their great deli and sausage selection. Have fun.

We just stayed one night at Muse Gallery Guesthouse and it was fantastic! The space was perfect for our group of 4 , super spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and relax. It really has that warm, homey vibe that makes you feel instantly comfortable. The private parking was a huge bonus ...so much easier and stress-free than hunting for street parking in Milwaukee. They have a big lot, so we never had to worry about where to leave the car. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the amenities were spot-on (great beds, nice kitchen setup, thoughtful little touches everywhere). We had an absolutely wonderful time and are already looking forward to coming back the next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful experience! I originally booked this stay for work because of the convenient location near the office, but I truly got lucky. Not only was it close to work, it was also just a block away from the cutest shops and restaurants. I felt safe, comfortable, and completely at home. Mary Ellen was an incredible host, and the breakfast? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. I would absolutely recommend staying here, and don’t forget to book directly through the site to support small businesses. Thank you, Mary Ellen!

What a wonderful experience. Our hostess, Mary Ellen, is delightful, accommodating and an excellent cook. Breakfast was delicious! The afternoon on the porch with her homemade Sangria was so relaxing. We can't wait to come back!

Lovely stay with Mary Ellen. Her breakfasts in the morning were really nice, the bed was comfortable, and the house was really clean and well maintained. Mary Ellen’s hospitality was the highlight, though, and what will make me book again on my next trip to Milwaukee. The neighborhood is great— a short two block walk to restaurants, bars, ice cream and coffee, as well as the bus stop that goes directly to the airport and downtown ($2 cash, or in the app).

My husband and I just spent two nights at the Muse Gallery Guesthouse. We stayed in Angela's Suite, and it was an amazing experience. The suite is super spacious with a sitting room, kitchen area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The entire place is also an art gallery, and the rooms and common area are full of art and tastefully decorated. Breakfast both days was amazing, and the hosts were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Just a couple of blocks from some amazing restaurants and shopping, you could walk everywhere you wanted. We will definately be back.
