DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport

The breakfast is very tricky. We were told that it was free continental when we checked in. What a surprise when we went downstairs to have breakfast. It was a simple breakfast with some hot buffet style areas. Little did we know that they were gonna charge us $19 per person. The hostess never once mentioned anything to us. The food should’ve been better if you’re gonna charge that much for it. Most of it was simple and warm at best. Overall the hotel is very good. Rooms are clean and service from the front desk is excellent. Room has no microwave. The doubletree cookie is still excellent. Thanks

The hotel itself is in a great location near the airport maybe a 5 minute walk . The rooms are dated but comfortable the front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. Where this hotel falls short for me is the Food the breakfast has no more cooked to order eggs just tired old over cooked eggs the cold side is a lack luster display of fruit, muffins breads and oatmeal choices are very limited. I just skipped even trying the food again in the bar after my last experience. Just chose to eat offsite for all my meals.

want to take a moment to publicly recognize Gage H. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport, because his level of professionalism and genuine customer care was nothing short of exceptional. Due to circumstances completely out of my control—including United Airlines flight delays and ongoing Denver air traffic control issues—my travel plans became extremely fluid and unpredictable. In the middle of that chaos, Gage stepped in and calmly took ownership of the situation. He was incredibly professional, courteous, and accommodating, and he went well above and beyond what would ever be expected to help reschedule my stay smoothly and without added stress. What stood out most was his demeanor. Gage was composed, kind, patient, and genuinely invested in helping—never rushed, never dismissive, and always solution-oriented. That level of service is rare today, and it made a frustrating travel experience feel manageable and human again. I’ve been a loyal Hilton member for over 20 years, and it’s people like Gage who are the reason I continue to come back. He represents the Hilton brand at the highest level. I sincerely hope his management team recognizes him for his outstanding customer service, because he is absolutely an asset to this company. Thank you, Gage, for setting the bar so high. After reading pretty much all the reviews for hotels in the Wichita area, it seemed like it was slim pickens! I just took a shot and was so surprised. I’m super hotel picky and this one was nice, clean and convenient. Staff was great and the fresh cookies were a nice touch. Google reviews are always so random and I think we often forget to leave the good ones and only leave them when we’ve had a bad experience. So all that to say… pick this one. It definitely deserved five stars from me! All around great!

I’ve been a DoubleTree guest all around the world—some locations more luxurious than others—but one thing that always stands out is that the minimum standard of quality is never compromised. No matter where you are, you can count on a consistent, reliable experience and true peace of mind.

Hotel is very nice - reception staff cordial and efficient; nice bar and dining area with inviting fireplace. Room was very nice with plenty of space to move around, full length mirror, nightstands on both sides of the bed, with updated charging portals for devices and on the desk. Really, everything about the room, but enjoyable access to the airport and car rental couldn’t have been better, and the on call shuttle service to the airport was just perfect. We would without question stay there again.
