Hampton Inn Wichita-East

Served the purpose of a one night refresh but.......the pool was closed & was told it's being filled. Boxed up equipment around the pool area, even vending machines boxed up next to ice machines. Not too pleased with that but the great service & good breakfast helped ease that!

First of all, a huge BIG THANK YOU to Savannah! Her smile has brought so much sunshine to my husband and I! We have been staying in this great hotel for my husband's treatments and we are always taken care of by Savannah and her excellent staff! Angela with the front desk always makes sure that we have everything we need when we check in and she is always so generous and helpful! This is a wonderful hotel! All stars! 🙂

Hotel is slightly outdated however they are going through a renovation and there is quite a few site boxes in the parking lot and few boxes around the vending areas due to shortage of storage (i asked) which does not make it the prettiest to look at although it did not impact our stay. Our stay was quick and quiet. Staff is very nice and accommodating, more so than some hotels I've been too. Once this renovation is complete this hotel will be my number one choice when visiting Wichita.

Update— I now see that they are in the middle of renovations, so I changed the 3 star rating to 4 stars. If they fix the elevator and other issues it might be 5 stars after renovations are completed. Probably should work harder on keeping guest areas cleaned up though. (Boxes by the pool, dirt in the stairwell, etc.) Overall it’s an ok hotel, just needs some updates a deep clean. The door to our bathroom scraped the floor so it was difficult to open and close it. The bath had multiple cosmetic issues which may mean bigger issues. The decor, as of October 2025, is dark and outdated. But the bed was fine, towels and everything seemed clean, and no bugs spotted. The carpet in the hallway had a lump/needed to be replaced or stretched, so it poses a long tripping hazard. Elevator is tiny and slow. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice, other than two enormous mountains of boxes on either side of it. Not sure what they’re storing there but it doesn’t make for a relaxing vibe to look at that, and the humidity probably isn’t good for whatever is in those boxes. Lots of debris and dirt in the stairwell and other areas. The breakfast area seemed recently updated, good variety of food and friendly staff. Overall I’d say it’s fine if you’re not picky, but if you’re used to a certain quality level from other Hilton brand hotels, this one is a bit lacking.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn East Wichita and had a great experience. Their newly renovated rooms look absolutely beautiful—clean, modern, and very comfortable. I also received excellent service throughout my stay. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made everything easy from check-in to checkout. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay, and I would happily return on my next visit to Wichita!

Booked 2 nights at the Hampton Inn East. Have stayed at many Hampton Inns and this is by far the worst ever. They are remodeling the entire hotel and I was on the 3rd floor. The odor of paint and glue was overwhelming on that floor. I notified the front desk who said they would be right up and I never heard from anyone. The end of the 3rd floor I was on had already been completed with the remodel. The shower doors didnt line up so it was difficult to open and close. The sprinklers in the ceiling were not cut out right so they were hanging below the ceiling and the wholes were too big so some were exposed. Just a very very poor quality hotel. Obviously a very old building as well. One other note is that for whatever reason in this area, there is almost zero cell service. The hotel does have wifi but it was spotty for reception.

I've stayed here multiple times and I'll keep coming back. It's nice after a long drive to get checked in with Angie. She is so nice, cheerful and pleasant. I believe I was in one of the most recently renovated units and the bed was super comfortable
