Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wichita Airport by IHG

I got a warm and courteous welcome from the front desk. A very honest and polite Richard Brown saved my wallet after i checked in. I enjoyed this stay with a clean and comfy room. I will be back for sure. I feel very fortunate to find good hotels and good people in my daily travels. Thank you Holiday Inn Express for hiring staff that cares.

Positive: "" Negative: Bate and switch. Called the hotel directly to inquire about "sleep and fly" program. Was told parking for 5 days was included in the room rate. But the desk clerk charges us an extra $30 for parking. Never stay there again on future trips from Wichita.

Do not stay here if you want a restful night sleep. I’m a diamond preferred member and this is probably one of the worst days I’ve ever had. The first room I was given was missing a TV. They didn’t have any rooms left so they had to give me a king size room instead of a room with two beds. The manager specifically Victor didn’t seem to care and was mocking me when I told him about the issue. There are much better places to stay in the area. In addition, this hotel shows a lot of ware. There was also a whole bunch of teenagers staying at this hotel when I was there running and being loud and that was not addressed. I asked for a room on a high floor away from the elevator. I was given a room on the 2nd floor right next to the elevator and you hear everything if you are near the elevator, the doors and walls are not insulated properly.

Being a little worried about the area, we decided to stay at a Holiday Inn which are usually nice. The location is right by the airport and just off the interstate. It's near a bunch of restaurants too. It is near some questionable hotels and has a speakeasy a stones throw away. But we had no issues at all. Rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was decent. Plenty of options. Also had a little store if you need drinks and snacks. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend the place if you're in the area.

Definitely needs a remodel. I went to take a shower and when I went to adjust the angle, the whole head came off. We told the desk attendant and would have expected someone would have fixed it while we were out, but I guess the day ends around 4pm and maintenance is done for the night there is nobody to take care of such issues. Cleaning isn't the best, we found some different types of trash behind the corner chair.

This hotel has a strip club in the parking lot that passes itself off as a speakeasy. The base from their club rattled our windows on the third floor at 1 o’clock in the morning. Manager of the hotel claimed to be unaware of the noise, Strip club has been there since 2022 nothing new.

Nice hotel, clean rooms. Pool had some cockroaches and beetles in it. Not a big deal. The worst part is the secret bar hidden between la Quinta and this hotel. I had no idea it was a bar/pole dancing club that blares music til 2am mid week. Im here on business and my room is right next to place. Horrible location for people that wanna sleep.
