Well worth the visit prior to spending a day in Wichita! Madi Moore is a tremendous Ambassador for the city. She worked hard to get us to extend our stay or make a return visit! The advice and guidebooks provided helped us build a great itinerary for our day in Wichita. A must first stop for visiting the city!

Museum without a roof is a cool concept. 160 murals, numerous bronze/chrome statues and colorful Keepers of the Plains. However, there is no comprehensive map one can follow for the art scavenger hunt. Would encourage the city to spend a few days and develop one and post it online.

Visit Wichita is much more than just a tourism board; they are a primary engine for local growth. Their impact on the community is felt in several key ways: Economic Catalyst: They recruit major conventions and sporting events (like the NCAA Tournament), bringing millions of dollars in outside revenue to local hotels and shops. Local Advocacy: They champion small businesses through programs like "Wichita Restaurant Week," putting the spotlight on local chefs and entrepreneurs. Cultural Preservation: By promoting museums like the Museum of World Treasures and Exploration Place, they ensure our history and educational resources remain well-funded. Quality of Life: Their work in beautification and event planning makes Wichita a more exciting place for residents to live, not just for tourists to visit. Wichita is a city that invites you to stay a little longer than planned. Thanks to the tireless work of the team at Visit Wichita, the city continues to grow its reputation as a premier destination for culture, aviation history, and community spirit. It’s a place where you can feel the momentum of the future without losing the warmth of the past.

We were looking for something to do while visiting a friend in Wichita so we went downtown to the visitors center. There was a very nice lady working who loaded us up with all kinds of neat stuff to do. Turns out that we didn't have the time to do any of it but if you are in Wichita be sure to stop here first. You will not be disappointed.
