Great price, great location, staff was very nice. The room we got was small and had a few quirks. Bed was comfy, air con worked well. Not a chair in the room as I said it was small, had to get WiFi that worked from front desk as guest WiFi didn’t work. Hot tub attached to the pool not working. Bubble part did but not the hot part. I swam in the pool much to the amazement of some guests and staff, it was brisk. Private gated parking 40 dollars a night across the street behind hotel booked through hotel. French street with live music is a block away. Far enough away from the craziness and close enough to walk to. I will go back. Booking this hotel in an ap will save you 70 dollars vs from the hotel. I enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful property, well maintained & clean. My king room was spacious, comfortable & didn’t I catch his name but guy at check-in was very pleasant. The biggest highlights are the Pool - it’s clean, plenty of seating & so refreshing!!. The location can’t be beat. It’s literally 1 block from Frenchman St - so close enough to Bourbon but far away enough to be quiet & civilized. ||Highly recommend (& ask for a room by the "back gate" and you are even closer to all the action!)

The French Quarter is unique, so accept it as it comes. The room itself is beautiful, clean and the bathroom is really big. Shower only, which is fine, because I only ever use the bathtub in my own home. Sheets and towels was clean and I was allowed to checkin an hour early. Reception was helpful and friendly and also arranged for my taxi to the airport. Reception was also very kind and gave me a map of the area. I had a wonderful stay and Lamothe is located to easy transport for RTX, Hop on Hop off, and taxi. Great food and Jazz in the area. Thank you Lamothe for helping make my vacation memorable.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We stayed across the street in room 409. It was a large and beautiful room with a fantastic bathroom. We loved being so close to Frenchmen street. We will definitely stay here again.

Secluded yet right in the middle! A short walk to the French quarter and one block from Frenchmen Street. Quiet during the week, but can be a little loud with late night partiers on the weekend during Mardi Gras, but that's to be expected. It has a great historic vibe, an AWESOME pool that is heated from the romantic hot tub, so soaking even in February is a must. We will be back!

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. The room was very small, the air conditioning was extremely loud to the point that we could not keep it on, and overall cleanliness was not great. Noise was also a major issue—we could clearly hear other guests walking up and down the corridor, which made it difficult to rest. Because of these issues, we ultimately had to move to another hotel. That said, the customer service was good, and the staff were helpful and understanding throughout the situation. However, given our experience, we are not sure why this property is rated as a 4-star hotel on Google.

A little late on my review, but my word is my word and Lynn deserves these flowers. As a local, I never have a need to stay in the city. I had a vendor of ours in town from Cali and they were staying just down the block so I got a suite at the Lamothe for a night and took them to Felix's and then to Bourbon St. The fee for the nearly 500 sq ft suite was beyond reasonable and the extra $40 for secure parking is well worth it knowing you don't have search for parking and chances of a vehicle break in are drastically reduced. Despite the deep history, architecture and obvious energy through out the building that was not even close to what made our stay here a lasting lifetime memory. Our 3rd shift hostess Lynn spent the majority of the night, 12am on, hanging out with me and the women sharing knowledge and history of the Lamothe, stories of Katrina and growing up in NOLA, her ambitions, goals and life dreams. Neither one of us will ever forget the blessing of meeting this human being that night. We were so impressed with her and her awareness to her surroundings, her wit, charm and life stories I offered her a job on the spot. Furthermore I assured her a job at my establishment should she ever want a career change or is just in need. I truly hope the management realizes the value of Lynn as an employee and human. Lynn, if you see this my offer still stands. You have my information in the data base and my lady has yours. All you have to do is say the word! Thank you for your hospitality and an amazing life experience. We will NEVER forget you, and that says it all! Be blessed!
