Positive: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Negative: The rooms were in a state of disrepair — mold in the bathrooms, pealing/yellowing wallpaper, liners pulling away from the bathtubs which made the tubs feel not firm/stable when standing and taking a shower, and the carpet felt sticky and dirty.

This is our 5th holiday on Oahu from England, and our first time staying at the Imperial. Everything during our stay was fantastic. The check-in staff were welcoming and polite, our first impressions were great. We were allocated a room on the 24th floor for our 20 nights stay. The Palm room was a very good size for 2 adults and 2 children, we had lovely views, a good kitchen, it was all clean and comfortable, and everything we needed for our stay. We used the top floor pool a lot, the kids liked it most days, even on days that we spent in the ocean. Staying open until 10pm was a bonus. Housekeeping were good. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the beach, right next to entertainment on the Waikiki Beach Walk. It's in a perfect location. We had a couple of ukulele lessons with Roddy (fantastic guy). For our next visit to Waikiki, we'll certainly book again at the Imperial.

The Imperial resort is a large resort located in the heart of Waikiki. It is just steps from the beach. The rooms are well equipped. The air conditioning works great and the bed are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked as well. The pool is a bit small but adequate for a quick plunge. ||The only issue we had was when the murphy bed is in its down position, the legs of the bed stick out beyond the mattress so hitting your toes/foot on the bed post can be a problem. Just be careful. Other than this small issue, the hotel is great. ||Parking is convenient although its a bit pricey at $30 a day. However, all things considered, it is well worth it.

It is an older hotel and the rooms need a major update, some of the rooms look like they are from the 1990s minus the flat screen test. The bathtub in my room was partly broken and if you stepped near the drain the fiber glass would shift and snap. With that said, I know ive painted a rather grim picture, but youre not here to stay in a hotel room, this hotel is great for walking to places, and its a short walk to the beach. The staff here were amazing and helpful, and I can not praise them enough, that said if you stay here go to the misubi cafe that is next door for a cheap meal, and the bakery around the corner for a coffee and a snack. I highly recommend this area and the staff, but there is room for improvement.

Our favorite place to stay on Waikiki. The Valet Parking is the best. Location is 1/2 block to the ocean through or in front of the Sheraton Hotel. The rooms are well appointed. Full kitchen with all the basics, plus extras you can borrow from Housekeeping, like a rice cooker, air fryer or blender. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

2 bedroom suite was great for our family. On the 24th floor we had great ocean views. One of the bedrooms was huge and had 2 queen beds and a bathroom with bath. The other bedroom was tiny and just for a queen bed with no space to even walk around the bed. The lounge area, kitchen and other bathroom were fine. This hotel is in a fabulous location and has a Denny’s and huge ABC store off the lobby. The front desk staff and the concierge guys were very nice and friendly. The furnishings are straight out of the 80s but beds were comfy and the price is fabulous. Will definitely stay again

Yes the rooms are slightly dated but the location, amenities, service, and price are unbeatable. We stayed for a week with our toddler and would definitely come back. The location is perfect for families in my opinion. Beach access around the corner, restaurants and shopping galore. The staff are lovely, too.
