Positive: "" Negative: My friend is disabled and has handicap license plate and had to pay $50 for valet parking because there is absolutely no handicap parking in the area. When we spoke to the front desk about the concerns they were very rude and did nothing.
This was a beautiful hotel. Very clean. The staff was super helpful. Eltun, at the front desk, was very professional and courteous. He helped us check in fast and helped us find places to eat and things to see in St. Louis. It is employees like Eltun that make traveling a more enjoyable experience! I would definitely recommend this hotel!
All I can say is WOW. I travelled for a business trip as well as my birthday weekend. When I arrived, they upgraded my room (with a nice view), complimentary lounge access, and even complimentary breakfast. The service here was enough for me to book a future trip I'm taking later on this year at a Westin. I also love that you can message concierge and request room service via the Marriott app (super convenient). The only con of the weekend was that my server was pretty slow at the restaurant they have but my omelette was sooo tasty. Would book here again ⭐️
I do not think I will be staying at The Westin St. Louis again. And if you are a person of color, you should consider booking at another hotel. Last year, I made the same trip and my white boyfriend checked us in. We had a great experience with a smooth check-in, a confirmed room upgrade, and all of my benefits properly honored. This year, I checked in alone and the service felt weird and unwelcoming. I was asked to downgrade my executive suite room, wasn’t given the option to choose my welcome gift, was given an older room and was not reminded of my benefits. My room was in an older section of the building, harder to find, and had no internet and only one remote for two TVs. At the restaurant, during breakfast, I was told that they ran out of fruits, but 20min later the server had a plate full of blueberries and strawberries. And dinner options weren’t flexible. Overall, the service and treatment I received felt inconsistent compared to other guests, and the experience did not match the standard I’ve come to expect from past experience. And that inconsistency was perfectly clear when I saw the way my white boyfriend’s family was treated. I just can’t believe you are still at a place where guest treatment is influenced by race or the way someone looks. I am a member and have benefits for a reason. DO BETTER!!!
Great location, cool rooms and the staff was polite and helpful! Not as neat or clean as I’d hope. The couch cushions were dirty and the sofa beds mattress was very uncomfortable. I could feel the springs without having to put pressure on the bed. All their chrome features/handles were dirty, the phone was dirty, and windows were dirty too! Which can be understandable, but also disappointing since the view was so great. Sad to see such a cool place not be well taken care of! Room was spacious and that was appreciated. Shout out to the Valet though!! Super nice and made my kids feel special!! 01/07/26
We had booked our room through a third-party and the booking did not go through. However, the front desk staff got us a room at another hotel and took great care of us. It wasn’t their fault and yet they still comped our room. We really appreciate it and we’ll be back to the Westin because the exceptional customer service.
We had such a wonderful experience at the Westin in downtown St. Louis. When we arrived, our room was set much too hot, and the engineer, Marcus, came up immediately. He fixed the issue right away and took the time to explain what had happened, which we really appreciated. At the front desk, Brittany and Lexie truly went above and beyond. They were incredibly kind and helpful — even reaching into their own stash to help us out when we realized we had forgotten something. That level of care is rare and meant a lot. The valet, Dwayne, was also outstanding. We forgot items in our car more than once, and each time he was patient, friendly, and gracious — always holding the door with a smile and never making us feel like a burden. As we were checking out, we were looking for coffee and lemonade, and Elijah, the host at the restaurant, went completely out of his way to get both for us and present them so nicely. It wasn’t something he had to do, but it made our morning. What stood out most was how consistently kind and friendly everyone was. My daughters even commented on it — and that’s not something we always notice at hotels. We will absolutely be back. Thank you to the entire Westin team for such a memorable stay.
