Vistula Rose was a "find.!" My wife and I enjoyed three nights there in mid-December. The inn is a Victorian charmer with period furnishings and magnificent antiques in every room. We stayed in the Grand Suite which is HUGE and has a modern ensuite bath with soaking tub and shower. My wife enjoyed the mirrored Victorian vanity table with mirror in the bathroom. The rooms were very clean and everything worked. My wife and I prefer vegan cuisine and Patrick, the innkeeper, was very accommodating. Breakfasts were great. He prepared vegan quiche, oatmeal, vegan "egg" scramble, fruit, nuts, and pastries. We could not have asked for better. There are several outstanding restaurants within 5 minutes' drive of the house. Also, we were there for some really COLD nights in Toledo. The room was warm. Definitely worth staying at for your next trip or occasion in the area. Its Victorian ambience transports you back to a different place and time, but the amenities are all for today!

The Vistula Rosa was a real "find!" It was a Victorian charmer! Service from Patrick, the innkeeper, was exceptional. My wife and I prefer vegan food, and he accommodated us very well. He prepared a vegan quiche, Vegan egg scramble with veggies, oatmeal, fruits, nuts, non-daily milk. Great restaurants are only a 5 minute drive. Our room, the Grand Suite, was huge and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom featured a soaking tub, modern shower enclosure, and a mirrored vanity table that my wife enjoyed.

When you travel you have a few options, but generally it’s stay in a generic hotel/motel with the same corporate decor and the menu made in an accountants office of a corporate headquarters, or you can find something with character and creativity. ||This is a mansion from 1856 with fifteen foot high ceilings. It’s a stunning property with a long history. Patrick, your host, will tell you the history of the place and the surrounding area. He was super helpful to us in suggesting a great restaurant for dinner and just made us feel very welcome. ||The rooms are beautifully period decorated like a 19th century mansion but with modern amenities like attached bath, WiFi, room AC and a TV. Breakfast was more food than we could eat and incredibly tasty. This is a place to stay for people who love history and architecture and want to feel like they are in a different time. ||Loved our stay.

Last week we stayed here while visiting family. Had a wonderful time, the house is lovely. Beautifully historic it's like stepping back into time, we also had some encounters you'd swear it was haunted. Patrick was an amazing host, he's very friendly and knowledgeable. The daily breakfast is grand, you will not go hungry. Can't wait to come back 🙂

Absolutely beautiful historic house, perfectly decorated. It was the most relaxing couple of days I've had in a while. The breakfast was delicious and Patrick was extremely helpful and fun to chat with. A little haunted, but not in an evil sort of way. Mostly just little noises and stuff moving around on it's own. The area is a bit shady, but as long as you don't go into the neighborhood you'll be fine. Honestly so worth it and the price is very reasonable. The rooms are pretty large and there's plenty of beautiful scenery. I know it's weird to see only positive reviews for a place, but they truly are just that good. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful building and wonderful guest room. The breakfast was filling and delicious and Patrick was fun to chat with. Just a warning... this place is still being worked on. The rooms that are complete are beautiful. You will go in a side door as the front door is not currently being used. Main rooms are done enough to enjoy but you can still notice where repairs are being completed. The area where it is located seems a bit sketchy but we had no problems. The one thing that I didn't enjoy was that our bathroom was across the hall from our room. Must have missed that part as it is clearly written in the description. Luckily, we had the place to ourselves so didn't have to worry about other guests. In spite of ongoing repairs taking place I would still recommend. There is a front porch swing to enjoy the cooler mornings. Will have to come back to see the repairs complete. Would love to know the paint color for the Hannah Matilda room walls.
