Wingate by Wyndham Chesapeake

It's ok and fairly inexpensive as hotels go. Front desk staff was very helpful. Hotel was a little dirty and worn. The shower head was popped free of the wall and paint peeling. Lots of lipstick on the place. Personally don't care for the buildings color scheme but that is really a non issue. For me it was company selected for proximity and cost. I was only there overnight for about 12 hr. It was fine but nothing to really praise about the place other than price(which was not even my burden) and I do want acknowledge the young lady at the front desk who was very pleasant and helpful.

Property is dated, rooms show lack of care. Mattresses need to be turned or replaced, they are broken down. Elevator works properly but needs some cleaning. Parking is ample. Breakfast is routine, sausage is chicken sausage and overcooked.

THIS WAS THE MOST RELAXING HOTEL STAY IVE EVER HAD I SWEAR THE ROOMS MUST BE SOUNDPROOF BECAUSE WE FELT LIKE IT WAS JUST US IN THE WHOLE HOTEL BECAUSE IT WAS SO QUIET. THE POOL IS HEATED AND THE JAZZUZZI WAS AMAZING. THE STAFF AND OWNERS WERE JUST AMAZING ALL THE WAY AROUND. THE BED WAS SO COMFY I FELL ASLEEP WITHIN 5 MINS AND SLEPT THROUGH THE WHOLE NIGHT. ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOTELS FROM HERE ON OUT!!

Do not recommend. Room was not ready until 4 instead of the advertised 3. The rooms and building was musty smelling. The bed was comfy and room was roomy, the breakfast is a step above continental with eggs and sausage. There was mold all around the tub. Mold on floor by tub, water pressure was laughable, carpet was stained and torn, the chair was stained and dirty. The ceiling is not soundproof by any means so you can hear every footstep above you. There was a science project growing in the sink. The tv is small and ancient. Pool and hot tub are nasty. The AC worked well but loud. We would have left but we had driven many hours for a funeral and needed a place to lay our heads.

Perfect staycation for my pregame birthday weekend. Beds are super cozy. The water pressure could be a little stronger, but that’s a personal preference. I was comfortable at all times

The room was so gross. The rug was torn through the center of the room. The drapes were fithly. The mirror in the bathroom still had toothpaste splashes from the previous guests. The coffee accessory packets were both open with items missing. One of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed up. The front desk staff were very friendly, however, and the breakfast bar was well stocked.

I had to give five stars because they were expedient with their service. The suite rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, I did not try the breakfast, but they did offer it complementary. The suite was reasonably priced. Helpfully staff. Overall worth the stay
