Days Inn by Wyndham Chesapeake

I know there are a lot of negative reviews on here. But me and my husband came from Wilmington NC. The lady Shena pardon me if I get her name wrong but she was working October 22/23. She was the best we love her. Very friendly. Explained anything we asked. She was a delight. Our room was on bottom floor it was clean and what we needed.well stocked with towels and the necessities .We went to the casino which was about 15minutes away. So the location was perfect No problems at all we would come back and I hope Sheena is there!!!!

Place is a dump. Room looked like it wasnt cleaned very well. They do not serve breakfast but their online booking says it does. The mini fridge is completely froze over and has no knob. The AC casing for the room is barely on. The bed doesn’t have a fitted sheet. Is just a top sheet and very thin blankets. Wyndham really needs to check on this location and change the staff. Absolutely the worst place I have ever been in. They gave us two cards and only 1 worked for the room. Room smells completely disgusting.

The room was dirty, the bed had bl00d stains and bed 🐛. I arrived on Wednesday night—technically Thursday around 2 AM—and since the hotel was sold out, they couldn’t move me to another room.||||The employee working that night was absolutely no help. She was sleeping in her car instead of taking care of the guests. I had to call around and look for other hotels nearby because there was no way I was going to let my kids sleep on those disgusting beds or use that filthy bathroom.||||Overall, the room, the staff, and the service were awful. I do not recommend this place at all.

Positive: The room was cold, the fridge was on upon arrival, and the water was hot! Negative: The towels are tiny and had hair on them. There is no breakfast, as advertised. There is a mandatory $12 non-refundable fee upon check-in which was undisclosed on the site.

The Highs: Check-in staff, Sheena, was excellent. The Heat Pump worked great. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Kudos to the housekeeper who gave us an ashtray to use outside. The Lows: It’s an older property in a dingy part of town, which could really use a significant refresh, particularly the bathroom area. The tub tile has been applied over the the original and there’s voids and gaps. The toilet door frame and the vanity mirror are broken, have been, for a long time

I stayed there one night this past weekend and on checkout there was a $6 "Safe fee" charge added to the bill, that was not in any of the communications about the reservation, nor was there any sign in the lobby indicating that it would be charged. I spoke to the person at the desk and she indicated that they always charge that, and she does not have the authority to remove it. There was also a $50 deposit charged, and at checkout rather than refunding it they charged another $50 with a note that it was a refund of the deposit, this I didn't catch until I reconciled my credit card statement. I disputed all three of the charges, the "Safe fee" charge was resolved with a permanent credit from the credit card company immediately, I am waiting for the other charges to be refunded.

My family and I had to come stay at Days Inn for about 5 months. No complaints at all the staff was friendly. The Husband and Wife that own the hotel were good to us. We appreciate you all and highly recommend!!!!
