Budget Lodge - Churchland, Chesapeake, VA

It’s a great hotel for a short couple day get away. Have stayed here several times. The most recent time tho me and my boyfriend were sitting outside so he could smoke since we didn’t have a smoking room and I was sitting on the steps while he was in a chair the owner had called the cops on us without ever telling us to not sit on the steps or coming to talk to us. We didn’t know anything about him calling them until the cops had pulled up and we asked if everything was okay and he asked if we had a room and told us to go inside and told the cops everything was okay. Could’ve been better with communication and telling us to not sit on the steps because I could’ve moved and sat by the door only should’ve called the cops if we didn’t listen

Do not stay here. Our room had cereal left in upper cabinets from previous tenants, floors were not clean, head board had serveral handprints and the bathroom was horrid. We also had people banging on our door asking for the previous tenants so they could purchase marijuana until 3am. We brought our issues to the front desk and refused to give us a refund due to their policy. I wouldn’t risk saving a penny by staying at this hotel.

I really didn't want to leave a review but I was to scared to say something face to face.... :(. I stayed there last night the moment I came in to the room i saw cockroaches. On the ceiling on the small sink in the corner of the room and in the toilet area... If it was just 1 or 2 I could of ignored it but it was a lot of them. When I went into the bathroom I noticed that the bathtub had hair. Looked like men's body hair.. 🙁 to make things worse the room above me were so loud it was very hard to sleep and the smell of the room was so strong it gave me a migraine. :(. I went and bought some raid last night to kill some bugs and when I got back some boy was up against a cop car in handcuffs in front of my door.... That didn't help my sleep ... I get it's a "budget lodge" but it wasn't good. I didn't feel safe 😭 I left this morning bright and early I wanted to ask for my money back but I did sleep there.... Mr Manager Sir. Please forgive me but this motel isn't good

This has to be the most disappointing place I have stayed at in years. The newly renovated advertisement is a bald face lie. The non-smoking room reeked of cigarette and pot odor. The floor had not been swept, bathroom was nasty, and there were cigarette burn holes in the bedspread. The countertops had not been cleaned either. The vanity looked like it was built with scrap wood. The only decent thing about this place was the clerk at the desk. He was very nice. We cut our two day stay to one day and left.

We started in room 210 . I wanted y'all to know this was the best hotel I have ever been in. The beds are so comfortable. The manager is amazing The housekeeping is amazing there's nothing bad I can say about this hotel. Other than it's in a bad area but if you have somewhere you'd like to stay this hotel is amazing. Love the service I love the people and I love our room thanks guys for being a great hotel. And I'm using my future son-in-law's phone this is Michelle thanks Brian and everybody We love you guys.

We were very disappointed with our stay. What made it very difficult and unpleasant was the guests that were above and beside us the walls are very thin and they argued all time especially at night we had the efficiency i was grateful for the full range stove the oven worked but the top was iffy. Management should really inspect their rooms and appliances often to make sure that they work properly. When a guest calls with an issue about other guests being rude and obnoxious at 3 a.m. don't brush them off

They have updated their place there are food places next to this motel convient.i enjoyed my visit
