Dogwood Manor Bed & Breakfast

I was in Huntsville for work, but staying at Huntsville's only B&B was such a pleasure! The rooms are lovely and each is unique, the house has been beautifully and sturdily restored, and Valerie and her husband are accommodating and friendly hosts! You will enjoy coffee each morning in their parlor looking through a huge 60-pane window, and you will wake rested in an exceptionally comfortable bed! It's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but only about 10 minutes away. I highly recommend it!

My wife and I recently stayed here for one night. Of the five or so B & B's we've tried over the past few years, this one was the best overall. Room rates are reasonable and the location is excellent--it is very close to downtown Huntsville but you would never know it by the area which is suburban/rural. We even saw deer on the grounds and the landscape is rolling, forested hills. Our room, the Rose room, was on the small side, but it was enough for us and very clean. Breakfast was what puts this firmly into a five star rating. We had some sort of pumpkin spiced french toast that was almost more bread pudding than french toast. It was spectacular and I miss it already.

I stayed here for business because ALL hotels in Huntsville were booked. I will definitely stay here again. The owners were very attentive to my needs and the breakfasts were delicious! One morning I had to be away very early so I was going to miss the breakfast so a muffin and fresh coffee were waiting for me in the dining room when I left! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Each room has it's own bathroom. Downtown Huntsville is only 6 miles away. It sets back off the road among very old trees. You can sit in the sitting room and watch the squirrels in the huge picture window play. Don't miss this wonderful gem!

My husband and I celebrated my birthday in Huntsville and stayed at Dogwood Manor. We enjoyed our stay and had a restful time. My husband was disappointed there was no television in the upstairs rooms. I know years ago B&B's didn't have tv's in the rooms but now most have upgraded to include them because of the demand. Also the rooms do not have locks on the door and we felt uncomfortable leaving for dinner and our room unlocked. Breakfast was great and loved the bowl of fresh fruit, lemon French toast with blueberries, biscuit and bacon. Located close to lots of great restaurants.

While traveling with my husband on business we stayed at the Dogwood Manor B and B. What a lovely time we had and Valerie is awesome! I felt like I was visiting a special friend and that is just how she makes you feel! We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and it is a lovely room with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom! The breakfast is delicious and lots of it! Valerie makes a yummy and authentic English cup of tea that was so comforting! This is a very comfortable, very clean, and very welcoming Bed and Breakfast that we loved and you will too!

We enjoyed the quiet and gracious location and hostess during our stay at Dogwood Manor. We found our room to be very clean and comfortable. The breakfast of fresh fruit, freshly baked sweet bread and omelette with home fries was all homemade and absolutely delicious. The Manor's central location to the city was prime for exploring the city. We would choose to stay at Dogwood Manor if in the Huntsville area again.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood in a very safe part of Huntsville, we enjoyed our time here. Breakfast was delicious. Bed was a little soft. Owners have a great story. Our conversation with them was brief, but enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.
