Best Western Town House Lodge

Staff members are, very respectful and helpful allow you to check in early without a charge as long as it’s not before 1:30 pm. I’ll go there a few times a year visiting family breakfast is excellent. Rooms are very clean. I highly recommend it.

Positive: Rooms were clean, staff seemed friendly. Hotel property seemed well maintained. Negative: location of hotel was in a busy business area with many one way streets. Hotel did not seem to refill enough food in timely manner. Hotel did not seem to provide additional servings toward end of breakfast hours. There was not many restaurants nearby.

As we had a marriage celebration to attend 15 miles north we opted to stay in Modesto. Although we arrived an hour before check-in we asked if a room was ready. We were told yes, but an extra $20 would be charged. When asked if there was simply a restroom in the lobby for us to change, in lieu of the extra fee, the charge was waived and we were given our room key which was much appreciated. The room was comfortable, clean and breakfast the standard motel fare. We've learned to pass on the reconstituted eggs and stick with cereals, toast and fruit.

Easy parking and friendly staff. Melissa was very friendly and quick to check in. Rooms are very clean and well fitted. Breakfast was good in a nice lobby. Well maintained grounds thanks to Jorge.

Whoever the lady was who was working on 10/18/25 at 9AM at the front desk is very rude. We got there from over a 15hr long trip and she was making everything complicated. We were asking questions and she got defensive and answered with a bad attitude. We asked for a receipt or a paper that said that we paid and how much the amount was and she said "no I can give it to you tomorrow" we kindly said "no we need it now thank you" and she got pissed off. She needs to be fired if she’s going to be talking and acting like that with costumers. Completely no front desk manners. I don’t pay to be treated like shit when I’m already sleep deprived. Also the chairs in our room were very dirty and stained.

Beware of making a reservation with this hotel. I booked a reservation directly with the best Western website before I completed the transaction. I called the hotel and told them I would be placing this reservation on behalf of my wife and I would not be there would that be OK? The lady at the hotel assured me it would not be a problem and that my wife would only have to pay $100 deposit for incidentals. When my wife arrived, the reservation had not been charged to my card and my wife was not able to get the room because She did not have my credit card. So even though the lady told me on the phone, my wife would not need my credit card. It turns out she did need it. The woman who checked my wife in, was not very helpful and didn’t really do anything to help my wife. I don’t recommend staying at a place that tells you one thing on the phone and something else completely different in person especially when it affects your ability to check into a room you have reserved. No Thanks. Stay at different hotel next time. I’m in Modesto.

I recommend this hotel if you’re in the Modesto area, I said date as several other hotels and this one by far was the best the staff is very accommodating and the hot breakfast is very good rooms spectacular
