Channel Islands Inn

Place has lots of potential but is a complete dump! Every time I tried to use my key-card it wouldn't work; had to go back to front desk every time i wanted to get into my room. Drywall finish has an extremely heavy texture that holds dirt and cob webs, sheets and lampshades were stained, NO HEAT in my room, just A/C.

We stayed here one night on our way through. We did not enjoy it even for the basic necessities of just a bed. Spider building a web in the corner of the shower and I killed another spider that crawled on my arm in bed. Dirty feeling and very outdated. No iron or hair dryer. Breakfast was decent and the lobby was welcoming and staff friendly. This ended our stay on a higher note but I would still not choose to stay here again.

When we drove up we were all like UGH WERE STAYING HERE! No curb appeal, parking lot needs to be repaved, no marked lines for parking. The rooms are out dated, the walls to the ceiling had this rough texture that you mainly see on the outside of old buildings. Our room phone didn't work, we had to use our cell phone or walk to the office to put in our requests. Bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, bathtub/shower was all worn out. I didn't dare to walk barefoot the carpet felt greasy and dirty and when I kicked the bed skirt OMG it SMELT BAD!! I had to constantly use disinfect spray. The ceiling fan was old and wobbly with only one speed, we couldn't use it at night to noisy. Room lighting sucked they need to change to LED lighting. AC buttons were all worn out had to guess to figure it out. No ice bucket and the ice room was hotter than a muther, no ventilation! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!

This place has super spacious rooms. Under new management. You can tell there is a ton of improvements going on. Still a little ways to go, but definitely getting there. Great value. Great breakfast included!!!

Comfortable and clean beds. The people who frequent the place are sketchy. Stains on the bed skirts, something splattered all over the walls near the beds, and gross knobs in the restroom. Didn't have a coffee pot, gym, sauna, pool, breakfast, or 24 hour office, all of which was advertised when booking our stay.

Broken AC ..only weak ceiling fan ... can’t open the only window/sliding door because no screen. It’s a FN dump . The photos don’t lie. I’m only staying here because my employer is paying for it. Ghetto 8 or sleazy 6 is better than this dump. No iron no coffee machine in the room. Don’t stay here you’ll be sorry.

This hotel deserves a better rating. Its by far better then sleezy 8 or other chain hotels that can't even compare to this place. Its quiet with night security and a delicious hot breakfast every day. You're 4 min to PCH to head to thebeaches and Malibu. Win win here with a friendly staff.
