Holiday Inn Shreveport Downtown by IHG

The staff at the front desk is really nice, but the hotel is dirty and outdated. Our group reserved 8 rooms. 2 had to be changed because there was rotten food in the fridge, an ant infestation in the bathroom, dirty socks and a used condom from a previous occupant. The curtains in 2 rooms looked like they had blood stains in them, and the thinner cloth ones looked extremely dusty. All rooms smelled moldy. Showers were disgusting, with some having the dispensing bottles for shampoo/conditioner/soap left on the sink counter because the holder was broken, so besides inconvenient it was sanitarily compromised as anyone could just open the dispensing cap and tamper the liquids. Also note that there is an active railroad with at least 2 trains passing by late at night/early morning behind the hotel, and a very active road with racing cars/trucks constantly going by; All that considered, and the hotel could not invest in appropriate windows to reduce the noise heard inside the rooms. So, needless to say, you won’t get any sleep. Oh, and good luck if you need clean towels between nights, because they can’t provide you with a new clean set at the front desk. And the cards are so cheaply made, that if they are near a cellphone or other cards, they will reset. So, can’t put them in your wallet or purse or pockets, if you keep your phone in either.

As a longtime IHG member, really disappointed in the lack of cleanliness and maintenance of the property. Room had a moldy smell that wouldn't go away regardless what the A/C was set to. Last, if you stay here make sure to ask for a room (any floor) that's at least X10 or higher. The north end of hotel, with room #'s 200-208, 300-308, 400-408, etc. are right next to the railroad tracks. Freight trains ran all night preventing us from getting any sleep. Whoever the original architect was made a major mistake in the design.

within all Holiday Inns and Expresses this was the most unpleasant stay. The breakfast was a joke: no bread, no bagel no fruit, no yoghurt. I had a voucher, so I don't know how much they charge for the bf. But I cannot recommend it. Save the money and have the bf somewhere else. I did it the second day Then bathroom: The Shower head and the connected pipe in the wall was loose. was loose. The toilet seat was loose. The setup of the room is simply not user-friendly. But I have to say that the entire staff I had to deal with tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They were awesome

Absolutely disgusting. We stayed here for the LA State wrestling tournament as well as several other families. Almost everyone had similar experiences and several switched rooms because of lack of cleanliness. Holiday Inn should be embarrassed of this location. Our room had dead bugs stuck to the walls and ceiling throughout the room. Dirty vents, dirty socks left on the floor from whoever rented the room before us and the worst part was what looked like vomit behind the bed walls and on the bathroom walls. Water pressure in the shower was really low. Had to spin around in the shower 15 times just to get wet. One elevator was broken and the other was slow. We will never stay here again

Staff was great. Breakfast was good except they told us it ended so 9:30 and when we got there at 9, the menu was unavailable and only the buffet was an option. I have stomach issues so this was unfortunate. The hotel itself looks nothing like the pictures and it’s dingy, old and smells. Old carpet that is peeling away. Wallpaper that is doing the same. Our room smelled musty and followed us in our clothes the next day. We also reserved a king room and they gave it away before we got there. The only rooms available had double beds but it was too late at night to fight about it. I won’t be visiting again.

Being a Diamond member with over 150 nights last year, this is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST HOLIDAY INN I've ever stayed in. This hotel is in need of a major renovation. The lack of caring is overwhelming, the staff here could care less about cleaning. I will never under any circumstances stay at this hotel again. Hotel management needs to be fired.

This was the host hotel for an event that I attended. I assumed it would be a nice hotel, since the rooms were blocked at this location. I should have known after entering the front lobby. The floors, ceilings and baseboards were dirty, molded and peeling. The room had bugs biting my friend and me. I refused to stay, so I was given a somewhat renovated room on the 5th floor. It was also dirty. The comforter had a stain on it. The curtains and the chair were covered in stains. I requested a refund and was told that I could only be discounted on the room 25%. This was the worst Holiday Inn I have ever booked at. Do not stay at this hotel! It needs to be demolished! The staff and the manager are well aware of the conditions of the hotel. I WOULD RATE IT A 0 STARS IF IT WAS ALLOWED!
