Motel 6 Shreveport, LA

I don't expect a whole lot from Motel 6. They are easy on the budget and don't mind my little dog, so I book them a lot, but I will never go back to this one. |I stayed there during a period of extraordinary cold, and was shocked that there was no blanket on the bed. I asked at the front desk, and the clerk said they would see if they had any. (!!!!) They apparently did not. |Also had no glass turntable in the microwave.|In the morning I spoke to the manager, and asked for some consideration on my bill. They gave me $5 off, which was quite unsatisfactory.

I stay here every time I go home to visit. Very comfortable. Nothing extraordinary or extravagant but nice, cozy and comfortable. Front desk associates always personable, very friendly, great rapport and very attentive. Location is perfect. Right off the interstate, Walmart, waffle house, and lots of other restaurants within a half mile radius. Definitely recommend staying here.

I’m sad I can’t give this zero stars. It won’t let me add the video I had. The pictures speak for themselves. The woman working the night we got there was super friendly. As for everyone else and the room…Garbage. The shower handle was broken. And the hot water wouldn’t work. Along with several burn marks on the side of the tub. The black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and outside of it. The refrigerator and the microwave were absolutely repulsive. Burn holes in the blankets sheets and mattress. I thought I booked a non smoking but when we got there it wasn’t. No biggie. Wrong. The room was way worse than just the smell of cigarettes. It was all in all the worst place I have ever been to in my entire life. Absolutely not worth the $70 it cost to stay there.

Front desk lady was very nice, the outside looks like it would be a great place. But then you walk down the hallway because you can't use the side doors. There are no cars in the parking lot but you can hear all the people in rooms, so obviously they live hear. The smell of the microwave in our room made us want to gag when I opened it and the refrigerator was cover in who knows what. We had a TV but there was no remote. Not sure if they run a sweeper in the hallways. Cleanliness it lacks tremendously. If you need a cheaper place to stay that allows dogs like us, I guess this is what you get.

This hotel is in a good location and it looks nice from the outside but it is DISGUSTING!!! We had to have a last minute room or I would not have stayed here. The smell of weed hits you in the face when you walk in the door. Then you walk in the elevator and it’s worse. I thought maybe once we get to our floor it will be better. No! I literally gagged because the hallway smell was so terrible. We get in our room and it smells a little better. The sheets were clean but stained really bad. Then I woke up in the morning to use the bathroom only to see a baby roach welcoming me to the toilet!!!

Don't get a room on the third floor, there was a lot of screaming and arguing in the neighboring rooms and rooms across the hall. A lot of people live at this hotel. Also, don't try to go out the back door or the side doors to this place because you'll be locked out. You can only enter/exit this place through the front door. The only good thing I can say is that it's next to frontage road next to the interstate. If you want to go anywhere fast in Shreveport then you got to get on that interstate which just so happens to be located next to the interstate.

This has to be one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed at. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and weed. There was paint on the floor, and the room was dirty overall. It was difficult to tell who actually worked there, as none of the employees behind the counter were dressed professionally or wore name tags. It was hard to distinguish staff members from guests
