This place is adorable! The property is a beautifully designed conversion from large home to small inn. We stayed in the Destin room, and it was precious. A stay in the room includes acces to cozy sitting areas with TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a patio. The rooms have en suites and each is themed around a Florida city. There is a beautiful park across the street, and there are pubs and restaurants within walking distance. We highly recommend this little gem for couples or individuals staying in Tallahassee.

This is an old house repurposed as a B&B - except there's no human service and no breakfast. It is a visually lovely place, and the whole place is well-appointed. It is easy to access, with codes provided for outside doors and room door. There is no reception; you are there on your own. The rooms are lovely, the beds very comfortable, and the towels large and thick. Parking is great. There was a full array of coffees and teas arrayed on the kitchen counter. There were a few packets of instant oatmeal - but no milk. I gave it a 3-star rating because the walls are paper thin. It's truly horrible. You can hear someone clear their throat in the next room, and every word and sigh they utter. You can hear someone go to the bathroom! (The couple in the next room to mine had sex every couple hours my entire stay - with the woman screaming and moaning for up to 20 minutes each time.) Sadly, I'll not return.

The experience at this Inn was a 5++ in every category. We had a family event, so we housed our out of town guests in 6/10 rooms. Each room had a unique decor and was notably clean, comfortable, and cozy. The common areas were inviting and easily accessible to each of the rooms. The kitchen was well stocked with beverages and snacks throughout the day. The big plus, however, was the exceptional customer service provided by the Inn Keeper who was engaging and helpful in each and every way — which assured us that we had indeed chosen the best place to house our guests. This facility is a true jewel in our community. Without hesitation, we highly recommend it!!

The Capitol Inn is a newly-renovated and amazing stay conveniently located within short driving or walking distance of the Florida State Capital. It is operated AirBnB style, with personal door access, private hotel rooms and cozy common areas. The rooms were clean, well-furnished, and comfortable… definitely plan to stay again in the future!

I really loved this place. It was so cozy and I felt very at home. It was so clean, well decorated, and set up nicely. The bed was very comfortable in the Destin room. They provided coffee, tea, soft drinks, water, pastries, bagels, and snacks. I loved grabbing tea from the communal kitchen and heading to the park across the street in the morning. The only negatives are: how loud the street can be at night and seemed like cars just hangout at Whataburger until well after 2am playing their music/bass (I played a sound machine on my phone to drowned it out), the host was not very responsive (took 4+ hours to respond.. seems they need a communications manager to handle guest’s calls and texts), and there is no fan in the bedrooms (and no AC controls) and the heat would turn on at like 7am (Halloween weekend so it was slightly cold outside but not cold enough for heat). Even though there were negatives, I loved this place enough that I would absolutely go back, I was sad to leave!

The location of The Capitol Inn was absolutely excellent — truly in the heart of everything. Every detail was well thought out and perfectly executed. The booking process was seamless from start to finish, and the bedrooms were spotless, comfortable, and well maintained with daily housekeeping. There was an abundance of complimentary drinks and snacks, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel is within walking distance to Lafayette Park and surrounded by amazing restaurants. The location is super prime, and so is the service. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tallahassee!

The Capitol Inn is a well designed inn, located perfectly in Mid-town Tallahassee. The rooms are spacious and also well designed. However, they lack certain amenities (e.g., a desk for working, proper receptacles for trash, and a personal refrigerator for keeping leftovers) to which a seasoned traveler grows accustomed. Further, the room that I stayed in (Ocala) had several light switch covers that were nearly hanging off the wall. Lastly, the shower in the room is less than desirable as the half-door lends itself easily to flooding by spraying water from the shower onto the floor. The Inn has many positives and, with attention being brought to these things I mentioned, could be even better.
