E.J. Bowman House, A Bed & Breakfast

As our first B&B experience, we could not have been more pleased. Diane and Scott were so warm and welcoming, it was like visiting family. The Inn was exceptionally clean, decorated beautifully, and had all the amenities we could ask for. As for breakfast, each day was new, fresh and delicious. Chatting with Diane, Scott and fellow travelers while eating was such a great way to start our daily adventure. We exchanged past experiences about the Lancaster County area and gained new ideas to explore. We would like to thank Diane and Scott for hosting us and encourage any and all visitors to the area to stay with them at the E.J. Bowman House. We will most certainly stay with them again!

The EJ Bowman B&B is a lovely home that is restored to perfection and beautifully decorated for the Holidays, our room was super clean and was also decorated for Christmas which was a pleasant surprise. There are comfortable common areas to sit by the fireplaces and enjoy coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cookies and snacks. You can relax and read , do a puzzle or watch a movie and do not need to stay in your room all the time. Breakfast was delicious each morning. We had a great time for 3 days in Lancaster area before heading home for Christmas. The owners are kind and caring hosts, they want to ensure your stay is fabulous! We plan on returning to stay again in the future.

Both are super friendly and personal. The cookies are very tasty and they supported us with information about the area and gave us many information about restaurants and what to do and see in Lancaster. The breakfast was great too all was home cooked and tasted delicious

This was our second visit to the Bowman House B&B and as with our first, we were not disappointed at all. Another fabulous stay.|The home was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season, including wonderful touches in the room.|Bowman House & its hosts Diane & Scott are warm & welcoming & charming. |Breakfast was yummy and had great variety. The hosts make sure to accommodate your needs including what juice and coffee you prefer. |Our room was comfy and warm, with a gas fired stove to keep out any chill. The bathroom floor is heated, what a treat.|Also, the hosts have made certain there are plenty of conveniently placed electric outlets in the room to accommodate charging devices, etc.|Parking is off street at the location.|Anytime we will be staying in Lancaster, PA, we will certainly stay at the Bowman House.

This was our second visit to Lancaster and our second stay with Scott and Diane at the Bowman House B&B. Our stay was again wonderful. Our rooms were so comfortable, cozy, clean and made us feel at home. The breakfast each morning was unique each morning and was so delicious. We especially enjoy the amenities, such as the coffee and tea room. It also includes sodas, popcorn and Diane’s fresh cookies each day. Scott and Diane go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome and appreciated. They are the perfect host and hostess, with the perfect B&B. We’re already planning our 2026 Fall trip with them!!

It was a great experience. They met us at the front door. Sat by the fireplace and they went over everything. The room was perfect. The house is amazing and has so much history. Breakfast was amazing also. I would choose this over any five star hotel. You can't beat the value. We will definitely be a repeat customer.

Love this place! It's like coming home. Scott and Diane are absolutely the best hosts. The breakfasts are delicious and always presented in beautiful china. This is our favorite vacation spot.
