This Westin advertised themselves as the only 5-star hotel in Flushing, so the expectation was set based on this. Sadly, it disappointed us in many ways, and some were due to the Westin brand itself rather than this particular hotel. 1. Westin used to have very comfortable beddings, but unfortunately someone decided to change this in the last year. Before the change, they had the perfect pillows with just the right thickness and firmness, but they changed to very thick and hard ones - this type of pillows are usually only found in low-cost hotels. The comforter also became less comfortable after the change. Sleeping in a Westin has turned from an enjoyable experience to a challenge. These changes are universal to the whole Westin brand, not specific to this hotel. 2. The pool closes 1-5PM. We've been to a lot of hotels with pools, including many low cost ones like Holiday Inn or Courtyard, and this is the only hotel that has a pool and closes for several hours in daytime. Other than these complains, this Westin has pretty good decor and appealing scent just like any other Westin, and the room was pretty clean and free of broken stuff. The location is also pretty convenient. But I'll probably not stay in a Westin again due to uncomfortable beddings.

I recently stayed at The Westin for one night, which was my first time at this property. While the surrounding neighborhood was just okay, the hotel itself was fantastic. My room was a decent size and the entire hotel was very clean. I wouldn’t say the decor or design particularly wowed me, but it was functional and pleasant. This was the second Westin I’ve stayed at that is close to an airport. The only other airport Westin I’ve visited was at LAX, and that one was, frankly, hideous. What I liked most here was the exceptional service during check-in and check-out. Albert, who assisted me at check-in, was gracious from the start, and I believe it was Karen who helped me at checkout. Both were excellent. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant, but the coffee spot next door was great. There were also plenty of nearby dining options, which made it easy to eat out. Overall, it was a fantastic choice for a one-night stay.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. At check-in, the front desk made me sign a form saying I would be charged $150 per night if I had a dog. I clearly explained that the dog belonged to my friend, who was only helping me drop off my luggage and would leave within 10 minutes. The staff told me there would be no charge if we left within 15 minutes. We left within 5 minutes. Two days later, I was still charged a pet fee. I contacted the hotel and told them they could check the security cameras. They promised a refund — but never processed it. When I called again, they said since I signed the form, "there’s nothing they can do." That makes no sense. The form was only for pets staying overnight, which did NOT happen. Other problems: • Very poor soundproofing • No heating in my room • Terrible bathroom design: huge bathroom but extremely small shower, water floods everywhere Extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Be careful — they may charge you unfairly. I would never stay here again and do NOT recommend this hotel.

This hotel is between the. JFK and LaGuardia airport in NYC. Recently found this newly remodeled hotel. Nice hotel to lodge overnight while connecting flights. Does have a gym, steam room, restaurant and bar on site. Staff were helpful as well. Does offer a shuttle to/from LaGuardia airport only. And by the way, price was great! Will surely stay again.

We stayed here as a family and it genuinely felt like one of the better decisions of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the front desk team was friendly and professional — not over the top, just genuinely welcoming and helpful, which set a great tone right away. Our room was surprisingly roomy for New York — lots of space to unpack, relax, and not feel like we were living out of suitcases. Everything was clean, modern, and comfortable, which made coming back after long days of sightseeing really nice. The pool area was a big hit with our kids. The lifeguard, Adrian, was attentive and made us feel comfortable leaving the kids to splash around a bit while my husband and I used the sauna to unwind. It’s such a relief when you can actually relax on vacation without worrying — that meant a lot to us as parents. And on top of that, Adrian gave us a great recommendation for dinner nearby that worked out perfectly for the whole family. Overall, it was a great balance of thoughtful service, comfortable rooms, and relaxing amenities. We left feeling refreshed and genuinely cared for — exactly what we hoped for after a busy week in the city. Would definitely come back and recommend this to other families looking for a stress-free stay.

Good but there are better hotel for cheaper. Valet parking is added cost also doesn't allow in and out without paying full price. Room and swimming pool are great with life guard. It is good for family with kids that like to swim. Close vicinity to lots and lots of shop. Some shops open to 2 am. We went to Hidilao that close at 6am, so definitely for those late owls. Overall, not a bad hotel but if you search other hotels, you might find better value. However, I would not mind staying there again as everything is newer. It was built in 2024 I believed. So, everything seem newer.
