Home2 Suites by Hilton McAllen

I am more than impressed with this hotel. To the point the rooms are clean, spacious, the beds are comfortable and everything is modern. Plus breakfast is included! Long story, I was in McAllen for an extended stay and started at a different hotel, but moved to this one for reasons. When you walk in the lobby is warm inviting clean and always has coffee. The front desk staff are wonderful personable and professional. If you have a question or concern they’ll answer it and get the job done. The maintenance staff is on top of everything. They’re eager to get problems fixed and always have a good attitude. Now the best group (if I’m honest they’re all amazing) the cleaning staff are always working their hardest to keep up with cleanliness of the hotel. They go above and beyond to make sure the rooms are welcoming and stocked. If you request room service (at a reasonable time) they will get it done, even if it is close to quitting time they will try their absolute best to get to your room before they leave. If I went back to McAllen, Texas I’ll be staying at at the Home 2. Hopefully seeing the same friendly faces! Thank you to the folks that keep this place runnin!

First and foremost....This Home2 Sweets is immaculate. From the moment one walks in the hotel...the first thing, like always in every Home2 Suites...the lobby is beautiful, clean, and the smell is WONDERFUL! I figured out why they call the Home2....(like a 2nd home), because of the fantastic way they maintain the cleanliness is like my home. The staff is so kind, and helpful. Especially after the last year I've endured. I really needed a weekend to reboot...I had been working the last year on many projects, dealing with impossible supply constraints...to completion, only to dive into the next big life change, moving. The thought of coordinating a BIG move, our home, as well as sons family of 6, supplies warehouse, equipment, (we live on 25 acres), work vehicles, inventory....I needed a weekend to mentally reboot. Anyway....the hotel rooms. They are SOOOO clean. Bedding is bright white. Beds comfy. Showers spotless. Had plenty of hot water Safety. Traveling alone...safety is important. The location is in a brand new area, brightly lit up parking lot, safe area. Huge relief This Home2 Suites takes worry out of all the things we stress about, because they take pride in providing an AMAZING, relaxing hotel stay. I sincerely want to thank the staff here, as I am so appreciative of being able to relax and enjoy my weekend.🙂

Positive: The beauty of it. Everything was clean and breakfast was delicious. Negative: Wish check in time was a bit sooner as we had to be ready by 6 and didn’t check in until 4.

Staff was amazing. Rooms big and beautiful, clean, bright. Grounds are nice. Location is convenient. Just a few issues - If you have a dog there is no area that is exclusively for them going to the bathroom. You have to just take them to the medians between the buildings. The water pressure is very low. I had mouth surgery and could only eat oatmeal (I know it's not their problem ) but they don't seem to know how to make it. It was water with a small amount of oats. We addressed it with them and they never checked their ratios which is what I'm assuming was the issue. Otherwise it's a nice place and I would recommend it.

I spend about 60 nights/year in hotels this is one of the nicest I have stayed at. Room was huge. Lobby and amenities were excellent. The snack and beverage options was extensive and they had tons of decorations for the season. A very nice and refreshing stay!

Booked at this property and it was really okay. My only negative i couldn't pick my own room and I was switched twice from 1rst floor king to a double 3rd floor room. Besides that big negative digital key worked. Rooms were clean and so was the property around inside and out. Plenty of parking. Walls are thin and its alot better than the other location on Trenton.

The hotel is exceptionally clean. Service is great. Hotel was sold out but didn’t feel busy or crowded at happy hour or breakfast. Only 2 queen accessible rooms were available at booking. They aren’t my favourite room. The bed and pillows were ok but I dislike the synthetic fabric sheets. Stayed on the 2nd floor across from the noisy ice maker and didn’t hear any outside noise once in the room. This hotel does not have a hot tub. The Hilton app pictures are misguiding as it says pool and hot tub. The pool is a nice size and heated so it made up for the missing hot tub.
