Holiday Inn Express & Suites Seattle Downtown - Lake Union by IHG

Parking was hard to find in the dark ;you go into a tiny alley way. Property IS under construction, smells like chemicals, taped off everywhere. Front deck person was no where to be found when I arrived around 7pm...construction person had to call them! That took probably 6 minutes. Irritating . No vending machines...because of the construction. I had to door dash. Irritating. Basic room. Don't stay here .

Positive: Good location. Walking distance to the Space Needle. Stayed two separate nights before and after taking a cruise. Would stay again. Negative: A comimentary coffee station would be a nice addition

For a family, it did absolutely everything for us. The location was so perfect for walking to both Pike Place and the Space Needle areas. It's super close to a park with a little playground, and close to a Whole Foods for hotel snacks. We opted for the 'breakfast included' on the hotel room price and it was really convenient with small children. The food was good. We got a Suite and the sofa bed pull-out couch was really helpful too. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had an awesome time.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Seattle Downtown, and my overall experience was pretty positive. The location is one of the best features, it’s right in downtown and within easy walking distance to popular spots like the Space Needle, Seattle Center, Amazon HQ, and the beautiful Lake Union. This made it super convenient to get around the city without needing a car most of the time. My room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, even though the hotel was quite busy during my stay. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated little touches like the mini fridge and good water pressure in the shower. The front desk team was friendly and check-in was smooth. I found the WiFi reliable, and it was easy to get some work done during downtime. Parking is available (for a fee), but everything is within walking distance if you’re able to skip a car rental. I’d recommend this Holiday Inn for anyone looking for convenience, decent amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere on a city trip.

Place is under construction. Close to the space needle and walking distance to some restaurants. I always wonder how a large person would fit in their very tiny bathroom. The rest of the room is very nice and clean, comfortable bed and smelled freshly laundered sheets. I just didn't feel safe about the front door lobby and elevator didn't have any safety features, anyone can walk in and go up to the rooms.

If location was the only factor in the ratings, this would be a 5 star rating. This hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the Space Needle, various museums, and public transit stops. Unfortunately, when we stayed in December 2025, we did not realize the hotel was undergoing major renovations. This meant that the front entrance and most of the lobby was closed to guests, and there were extremely limited hotel food options. It also meant that we were woken by non-stop hammering that began at 8am sharp every day. I'm not sure how long the renovations will take, but don't expect to be able to sleep in while the construction is still ongoing. As for the room itself, we were given a newly renovated room. It was perfectly adequate, with a microwave, mini fridge, and shower with decent water pressure.

Front desk gal was super helpful with restaurant locations and recommendations. Very clean and quiet for undergoing reservations. Room was clean and comfortable. No food on site hence the 4 star. The Toast to Toast next door closed early for dinner, no decaf coffee in the morning. The location is great as we were seeing at show at the Climate Arena.
