I just checked in and wanted to share my initial impressions. While the room itself feels premium and the staff behaved well during our interactions, the overall experience does not currently justify the $140 a night price tag. The Issues Cost vs. Value: The cost is too high for the level of service and the various maintenance issues encountered so far. Front Desk Accessibility: The front desk was not available for a long time, and they did not pick up the phone when I tried to call. Room & Amenities: There is no bottled water provided in the room, and the coffee machine is not working. Facility Maintenance: There is a noticeable smell in the lift. Transportation: There is no airport shuttle service provided by the hotel, although they did provide a local alternative option. The Positives Room Quality: The room is premium and comfortable. Staff Interaction: Despite the availability issues, the staff behaved well and were professional when present. Initial Verdict: Overall, this stay feels expensive for the service and experience provided. I will provide a more detailed update following my checkout.

We had the pleasure of staying at this establishment, and we must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The evening check-in was prompt and friendly, setting a positive tone for our stay right away. The common areas were clean and tidy, which gave a great first impression. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and spacious the room was. We appreciated the numerous lights that were situated throughout the entire room. The amenities were nicely stocked, making it easy to settle in and feel comfortable after a long day of traveling. One of the highlights of out stay was the breakfast. There was a nice variety of items to choose from, ensuring that everyone could find something to enjoy. The lemon cranberry muffin was delicious paired with our hot coffee. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay pleasant. Overall, we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming, and well-managed establishment.

My 1-star review is based on the "mean girls" type behavior of the front desk employees. The staff at this hotel acted unprofessional and immature. While I was sitting in the lobby area just a few feet away, they spent their time gossiping about a former coworker and guests. Listening to them trash-talk someone who used to work and guests who were staying there was uncomfortable and completely inappropriate, especially in front of other guests. Instead of greeting people or paying attention to guests, they were too busy laughing and tearing people down. It was petty, unprofessional, and made the entire hotel feel cheap. Front desk staff set the tone for the whole experience, and this set a very bad one. I would not stay here again because of this behavior. If management cares at all about guest experience, they need to deal with this immediately.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the General Manager and the entire team for consistently providing exceptional service. My room was impeccably clean, and the hotel maintained a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. Every time I stay at this location, I am consistently impressed with the quality of my rest, which speaks to the outstanding care and attention to detail that your team consistently demonstrates. I truly appreciate the dedication and hard work of everyone involved. Thank you for making each stay a positive experience.

This hotel provides a great opportunity to relax, rest and prepare for a new day. Great rooms, breakfast, and staff!

Didnt have room service for two of the 4 days I was there. Went to the from and was informed that sometime they don't show up. Not sure I will go back, considering I will be in Cedar Rapids for a couple of months.
