Best Western Plus Orchid Hotel & Suites

Positive: Checking in was easy and staff were courteous and respectful. Negative: My room 116 had no hand soap. The container was completely empty. The refrigerator was wet on the inside of refrigerator. From 10pm through 4am in the morning I can hear people by the pool area, by my room talking loud and having conversations.

Nothing troubling at all with this hotel. It's not upscale, it's not downtrodden, it's a place to lay your head and the heads you care about. Our room had everything it should TV, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toilet, shower, towels, lights, even an iron and ironing board. Down the way there is ice, prolly some vending machines, and there is a little convenience center to buy stuff, and I think a restaurant...not sure...anyway there is parking for your car, elevators and stairs, card key access...it's winter and raining so we didn't use the pool. It's a decent place. Our room was clean and everything worked. Close to freeway and other stuff. All in all good exchange of our money for the value we received. A warm, private room for showering and sleeping. Yeah!

We had a great experience staying here, and a huge part of that was because of Paul and Carol. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. You can tell they genuinely care about the guests and take pride in what they do. Their kindness, professionalism, and positive energy really stood out and made our stay so much better. Because of them, this felt like more than just a place to sleep, it felt welcoming and comfortable. Big thanks to Paul and Carol for making our stay a great one. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our fifth hotel in 2 weeks that had the breakfast included. This place had the best of the 5. Most choice and best service. The service was really good with the desk person walking out with me to show me where things were. The room was extra large but we paid the bit more for the executive style. Not a five star place with a few wrinkles here and there but good enough. Gym and hot tub were good.

This is an older property. There are things that are good because of it being an older property. The walls are thicker so the sound doesn't carry between the rooms. There was some renovation work going on while we were there, so there were improvements being made. ||The staff were wonderful. They were very helpful and friendly and wanted to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as they could make it. ||The rooms were nice and spacious and the bedding and everything was comfortable. The front lobby had courtesy water, hot chocolate and coffee. ||The property was in a good location. It was an easy exit from the freeway, but we didn't hear any street noise from our room. It is in a safe neighborhood. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants close by.

We didn't really interact with the front desk staff but we did with the breakfast folks and they were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was okay, but I like the ones at the Hampton in and Hyatt Place better. The room was clean but small, the only chairs and tables were by the door with less than 6 inches space to the bed. The rooms do not have proper ventilation so it was very muggy. The bathroom was weird as the switch was outside and the fan was very loud. The TV took a bit to figure out, there's no cable and instead they have some Samsung Plus so it's all streaming, but lots of options. It might be useful to have a guide to show folks how to access it b'c the first day I thought it was broken. They gave us a great deal b'c we had a volleyball team with several rooms. They have a TON of rooms so it's a great option for a large group. The hotel was pretty central as well so lots of access to shopping and food.

The staff was wonderful! The king suite was clean and comfortable! |This hotel is a bit older with some recent upgrades but my family & I felt safe and would stay here again. It's so safe that when an older lady accidentally left her walker outside near her car all night no1 bothered it. |The location is N. Sunrise/Douglas so it's right off the freeway but I didn't hear any freeway noise from our 1st floor suite that was right near an entrance & elevator. Plenty of nearby places to eat for every budget. It's about 15-20 minutes from Galleria Mall and 30 minutes from Sac International Airport.
