Cyrus Hotel, Topeka, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Stayed for one night on business, arrived after 8pm. Wish I would have had more time, the hotel was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was spacious and very nice. Big fan of wide hallways and layout of my room. Furniture and decor was really cool. A great alternative to the cookie-cutter hotels I am used to staying at for work. The bar/restaurant area seemed really nice, I wish I would have been there long enough to try it out. Only minor inconvenience was with the parking garage. A bit of a journey to park and get back to the hotel, but the front desk person fully explained everything and I chose to go ahead and use the garage. Street parking is available and would be much more convenient for multiple trips in and out. On the plus side, I got my steps in! Would highly recommend if you are working in the area and need a place to stay and would also be a great vacation spot that offers a unique experience.

My husband and I had a horrible experience. First, we showed up and they didnt have our reservations. Athena did find us a room and the mattress tagged in the middle. The towel rack in the bathroom fell off the wall and I went to open the bathroom door after my shower and the handle fell off. I was stuck in our bathroom but thank goodness my husband just stepped out for a few minutes so he let me out. The breakfast buffet is terrible and the restaurant itself is pricey for what was very little quality. And if it didnt get any worse you have to go through an alley to get to parking garage and go up 8 flights of stairs to get to your car!!! And very dirty and creepy at night!! So I asked for refund. I never heard from any managers that i asked to call me. The staff tried to help but I still don't have the correct refund on my credit card. Please save yourself much stress and don't stay at this hotel.This was November 2025.

Positive: The bed was very comfortable and I love the design. Negative: I was told when I call the 888# the bar and restaurant would be open on Christmas Day. This is the reason I chose this hotel. However, the bar and restaurant was closed on Christmas Day.

This place delivers. Driving across half of the country was boring and not fun so stopping here was a big highlight. They treated us well, were helpful with suggestions, and made everything enjoyable. The hotel is pretty, while being mildly quirky in its styling. As it should be right? ||The food in the restaurant was great and the servers were super friendly. ||I’d stay here again and recommend it to you too.

The hotel is so dark I feel like I'm walking into a cave. It doesn't give a person the feeling of welcome when they walk in. The bar staff was very rude. I don't think the two girls at the hostess podium know the meaning of the words 'customer service' . It is clean and very trendy but I have to give the restaurant only one star since they offer nothing vegetarian on their menu other than a sad looking garden salad.

I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. First, I tried booking through the Chase app to use points, and couldn’t find a room with a bathtub. So I called and spoke to Wesley, who said it wouldn’t be a problem to move the booking to a room with a bathtub, and I also asked for a crib and he said that they would have one in the room and ready for us when we arrived. When we got there he greeted us with a smile, and was so welcoming. The hotel is so beautiful, the esthetic is super unique and cool, almost modern speakeasy vibes. I came down a little later to order some crème brûlée to go, and asked Wesley if they happened to have a charging cable I could borrow for my Kindle. He went above and beyond and hunted one down for me, how amazing! Management, please give kudos to Wesley for how awesome he is, he made our stay so special. Also, do not sleep on the crème brûlée in the restaurant. It was soooo good!

Attempted to cancel my reservation 24+ hours ahead due to an impending storm. They still charged me (and didn't even email me a receipt). I have status as well. Super disappointing and when I'm needed to come back for this event, will recommend to my team to not stay here.
