Hampton Inn Topeka

Stayed here on business to be close to the capitol. Hotel was solid. My room was clean, with plenty of outlets and a fridge and microwave. There was a pool though I didn't use those facilities. The hallway was ridiculously clean and the brightest I've ever seen. As I was traveling solo, this was very comforting for safety reasons. Everything was quiet. The room itself showed a little wear and tear but everything was completely serviceable. Staff was the perfect balance of professional and friendly enough without getting in my business. The parking lot was pretty full, so a good confirmation that I made the right choice. Close to big box stores if you need to run out to pick something up. Doordash and Uber Eats deliver with no hassles getting my order from the lobby. I only wish they had smart tvs so I could connect my Netflix and YouTube. Otherwise, a solid stay. Would stay here again for business or vacation if I need to return.

This Hampton inn is clean and comfortable. While it may not be the newest hotel it is clean and has everything you need. |Hot fresh coffee in the lobby and a nice breakfast selection in the morning. Apples, bananas, yogurt, eggs, potatoes, sausage and a variety of breads muffins and bagels plus cereal. |Beds are comfy and a nice large tv along with a desk area and lots of outlets to plus in computers and phones. |The room itself including the bathroom is very clean. Shower had great pressure and hot water. ||One con to note about the bathroom: there is only bar soap and no body wash like most other Hampton inns. The soap is not to my liking as it leaves a film or great feel on you. You need to go to a Walmart or Walgreens if you want body wash as they also do not have any in the lobby store. |There are numerous stores nearby including a 7 Brew and Dutch bros coffee and plenty of restaurants within a mile. |Staff at front desk was pleasant and helpful. Overall a great stay.

Positive: the breakfast was good Negative: Old dirty furniture in lobby, Bed was so worn out and hard, hallways were hot & humid. booked 2 nights were only given towels for 1 night and maids couldn't give us any for 2nd night had to go to front desk for them. Worst hotel ever!

Other than the sign at the entrance, the pool could have used another sign at the end of the hall as it looked like you were exiting the building. The breakfast was also very bland. The room was good, but the bathroom could use some maintenance.

Ok, I’m usually not a Karen, but this place needs work!! Front desk attendant was very rude, no customer service skills whatsoever-so-ever. They need help in that area big-time!! Once I got through checking in with my elderly handicapped mother, we arrived to our out-dated & water damaged room. Guarantee this place has mold!!! (see pictures) I sat on a "crunchy" bed for lack of a better word, these beds are NOT mattresses, I’m not sure what they are. I lay in my crunchy bed to find that I can heard the people in the room above me & beside me very clearly. In fact I hear my "neighbors" say should have stayed at a Marriot to which I couldn’t have agreed more. Went to open the curtains to see the "view", and it was a wall, the window had severe water damage all around it, heard the front desk people talking about how there is water leaking in specific rooms, maybe Hilton it’s time for a renovation. Handicap bathroom showerhead had NO water or water pressure, my mom could not take a proper shower so we left w/o one. Deplorable!!!!!!

I shopped around Topeka looking for a good hotel. I travel through there frequently didn’t like what I was finding. I like this hotel this is the one that I’m gonna have as a regular. It has everything I want. Good location good view didn’t stay for the breakfast, but service was good. It’s in general. A well kept facility that matters to me. Some of the other hotels I stayed in were not bad but a little on the used side. This one is well kept very clean. Makes you feel good staying there had a good view of the vehicle. I was driving and overall I’ll be back.

Stayed one night in this hotel. Prior to checking in called to confirm availability and price. Was told lots of availability of double Queen and king-size bed rooms. Price confirmed at $124.00. 3 hours later the price increased to $128.00. What?? Not impressed and unfortunately manager was not in. The person at front desk says it happens all the time and wasn't prepared to honour the initial price. We were too tired after 12 hours driving to look elsewhere but definitely will not stay at another Hampton anywhere as we continue our travels. Room was okay, a bit tired with wallpaper curling and chipping walls but amenities satisfied our needs. Issue with TV was addressed promptly which was appreciated.
