Hotel is very dated. Rooms are run down. Beds were some of the worst I've slept in at a hotel. Stayed in a double queen room and changed beds halfway through the night. They were hard and had zero give. When first entered my room tje thermostat qas set at 62. Set it to 75 and by morning it had only reached 72. Both elevators were being worked on and only elevator on service was the service elevator. Some individuals in my group reported seeing roaches. I actually found what looked like a nymp on my bathroom sink. I was on 6th floor. Parking lot was congested and spots were hard to get at times. I attended a conference we had several dozen rooms rented. One big problem I have is they apparently use dynamic pricing for rooms. Several in my party had issues with room pricing. Our rooms were approx $90 but the remaining rooms increased in price upto the day of our conference. A few on our group had issues getting rooms as last minute rooms were as high as amost $800 per night. Outrageous! One bright spot is the staff. Not a single complaint with any staff. All were helpful and friendly.
Positive: Staff was nice Negative: Main elevators were out of order due to "modernization" and the one working elevator broke on the second night and we were on the 6th floor. It was too late in the night to pack up and go to another hotel once we found out.
The worst stay I have ever had at this location. I was lied to about what room I could have. I was assured we could have an outside balcony room near the check in multiple times. Breakfast was horribly disappointing and the awesome breakfasts are always the reason we always choose to stay there. Eggs were empty and biscuits and gravy were cold. I miss the the friendly guy at breakfast that used to be there a few years back - pre covid. Only one elevator working. Signs in the elevator on each wall telling you not to jump or it will trigger an emergency shutdown mechanism. Was really scary on Sunday when we had a very full elevator. Dogs peeing on the floors and not cleaned up the whole weekend. TV remote only turned the tv on and off and controlled volume. It was on lifetime movie channel and no way to turn the channel. Very very disappointing!
So upon reserving our room my wife called to check on the amenities like the pool and hot tub ,game room etc, they stated everything was working. We arrived and at check in she asked again, once again they said yes everything is working. We get to the room where it was so hot, we turned the a.c. on and the fans were not working so we had to move it to the lowest fan as to that was the only one working. We go down to the pool and the pool room had no towels and the hot tub was ice cold. Turned on the jets and the temp never moved. We called from the pool room and asked for a towel because they were out of them in the pool room. They stated they were out of towels. Every floor had dirty linen laying all over the hallways. The game arcade room took all the kids quarters and wouldn't work, one elevator in the entire building working, this place needs shut down and maitenace done,do not stay here!!!!!!!
I was here for a conference. It was really hard to get to with all the construction surrounding it. The hotel has long been a place for conferences and gatherings but there could be a lot of improvements and updates to make it feel like it's still one of the best. I did not stay here, only daytime visits for the conference.
Stayed here for 2 nights Jan. 2026. The lobby/Public areas are nice but the rooms and support systems need a lot of work. 1) the elevators were being modernized so we had to use the service elevator, which is fine except it was broken for 75% of our stay and we went up and down 6 flights of stairs multiple times; 2) one of the beds was broken and on the verge of collapse, 3) the HVAC is old and couldn't blow air/the room was so hot we slept with the window open. In January! I hope this hotel can get some investors as it seems historic/has potential, but only worth a stay if you plan to sleep in the lobby.
First of all they sent me all the way to the back of the hotel to the small freight elevator and wanted me to go to the fifth floor. I felt uneasy and returned to the desk and requested another room. They put me on the first floor where some dogs were barking constantly and the room decor was from 1979.
