We spent our first Anniversary here, it was a wonderful and beautiful experience. Elizabeth is so kind and caring, she truly takes care of her guests. Day one she took us under her wing and made us feel like family. She opened up, not only her home, but her pool and hot tub which were both heated. On the morning of our Anniversary, she made us a wonderful breakfast and called it "a lovers meal". It was like a giant blueberry pancake that we shared, it was fabulous. We had many conversations with Elizabeth. She educated us a lot on Topeka as well as herself and how she ended up with the Woodward, as well as her other properties, which is very interesting. I felt so comfortable in this home and with Elizabeth, some of our conversations became personal and included god. She helped me in so many ways. My husband and I will definitely be back. I am so happy with our decision to stay at the Woodward Inn for our first Anniversary, I would not have had it any way. God bless Elizabeth and what she does. Warmly, Thomas and Vicky Hoit

We had our wedding reception at the Woodward 11 years ago. It was such a wonderful experience! Elizabeth is an exceptional host and such a warm person! We have kept in touch with Elizabeth over the years and have a wonderful bond! We recently stayed the weekend at the Woodward and had the same exceptional experience as we did 11 years ago! We highly recommend staying and exploring the fascinating house! The desserts and breakfast are delicious as well!

If spending time in Topeka, Kansas, bypass the hotel, and stay in this lovely historical home. Elizabeth will be your host, and she owns several properties. Elizabeth was great! She was a very hospitable and outgoing person. She will give you great recommendations to restaurants, and local places to see in the area. When we arrived, she befriended us immediately. She even spent time with us in the sitting area telling us about local Topeka, history of people who lived on the street, and the history of the previous owners of the main home. Her Woodward Inn Peach tea was fabulous! Breakfasts were amazing, and kept us going all day! We honestly didn’t eat again until dinner. If you desire a change from your everyday travels, give the Woodward a call!

The Woodward is amazing. Both the mansion and your delightful host, Elizabeth. We stayed in the Chester , room was perfect. Like the rest of the mansion, peaceful and quiet. Each night we were treated to one of Elizabeth's delicious desserts. Breakfasts were equally exceptional. Explore the mansion, relax in the 2 story library, take a nap in a garden hammock. We extended our stay an extra night because we love the place.

This house is a historic wonder. The owner, Elizabeth has taken this 1920’s house and restored it into a beautiful B&B. The library is my favorite with fireplace and seating, perfect for a glass of wine and conversation. Beds are very comfortable, evening dessert provided and amazing breakfast. Elizabeth, the owner is very personable and happy to share history of the home and area. She is an excellent cook. breakfast was wonderful.

We visited this bnb 10 years ago which was early in our relationship. During our visit we talked about marriage and living the rest of our lives together. This year after getting married and two kids later we got to stay again. This place is truly a retreat that can blossom a relationship and make you feel closer than ever to the one you love. We stayed at the main house and immediately felt comfortable and at home. Elizabeth has a heart of gold and talking with her is a treat all in itself. She works so hard to make sure your stay is truly magical. I can't wait for the next time we get to stay, I can promise we won't wait another 10 years!!!!

We rented one of the restored homes on Fillmore Street, the Woodward Max. The home was beautifully furnished and had 4 large bedrooms with other extra sleeping areas. This was perfect for our large family reunion. We "hosted" the additional family members that were staying elsewhere. In addition to the bedrooms, we had a huge dinning room, kitchen, front porch, and living room to spend time together. We were so delighted with the the quality of the furnishings in the house and the elaborate detail to make the house special. Elizabeth was welcoming and checked on us once to make sure we were settled in. She was available if needed but left us alone to enjoy our family.||We came to Topeka from 6 different states and the Woodward Max provided us such a wonderful atmosphere to spend time together. Thank you, Elizabeth for this truly unique experience. Your homes are beautiful.||Christine P
