Days Inn by Wyndham Topeka

My family and I got into our hotel room and I’m in bed the bed sheets had a big yellow stain under the pillow and on the other bed their was two spots of blood stains. Then we went to plug all of our devices in and couldn’t because their isn’t a hardly any plug in’s. The floor was also filthy I walked a crossed it in white socks and then they turned black. Last year when we came out room was excellent and this year our room was horrible. I also asked them yesterday for towels for our room and they never brought any out trash can also didn’t have any trash bags in it as well

Honestly, I booked my room for just one night based on price. I was not expecting much due to other reviews. I am a widower and travel solo these days so decided to take a chance. I was checked into my room by the night manager, a wonderful lady who greeted me with a smile. She put me into a ground floor room next to the gorgeous indoor pool. The check-in was handled professionally and already, I could see the reviews I had read were not entirely accurate. I walked into my room and found it clean as a whistle. My queen size bed was comfy too, with crisp sheets and comforter. The bathroom was clean and shiny as well. I knew then this was not a run down inn, but a place that had been refreshed over its 45 year history and they were trying to keep it nice. I slept well and the room met all of my needs nicely. I checked out in morning about 10:30 am after enjoying several cups of their good coffee in the lobby. I met the day manager who also greeted me with a smile. She was very nice and I said I would return in October for 4 nights in Topeka. Give the place a try folks. The new owners are trying to impress.

Rooms are absolutely disgusting. Dirt bandages, moldy bedding. Ripped up flooring and ceiling was caving in. Went in and ended up leaving. Asked for a refund and they refused. Had to pay 200$ for another hotel in the area last minute and got no sort of refund or apology. Expedia even called the "manger" and she declined a refund to them as well. Think her name was Cindy? Even provided pictures. Will upload them here as well.

The hotel staff were so pleasant, did everything they could to be helpful. The place was clean and smelled fresh. The staff informed us that the hot tub has not worked for years and that they have tried to update the listing. The pool had been accidentally over chlorinated. But, for the price, it was just fine.

Hotels.com had that there is a hot tub, there was not and they wouldn't let just cancel, the pool heater was broke so no swim either. Also water was off, I was told this after the fact said it would be on- never got water- couldn't flush toilet. The room was clean, but wornlooking- the lamps between beds were missing. The heaters in room unplugged, it was cold ( might have had water if the cold didn't let pipes freeze). There was no continentalbreakfast at all. It was all bad, tv reception pooras well.

Room was filthy, bed had urine stains, the tv stand for some reason was set on top of a half rotted cardboard box, the mini fridge was disgusting and bathtub/shower was disgusting. I left and did not stay.

First room was filthy sheets were filthy curtains falling off the wall.They got me a new room.It was worse than the first room with a blood on the mattress , about sixteen inches refuse to get a refund would not work with my booking company to even help me out. This place is a biohazard. I would not suggest even walking in it or stand the floors inside the door were slippery. They do not offer breakfast. Besides coffee. The pool does not look nice.
