Stemmerman's Inn

I absolutely loved my stay at Stemmerman’s Inn!! My experience with Fran was so lovely and she was so kind and helpful. The building itself is so cute and so well taken care of. The location was amazing for staying downtown! I loved the loft style room and view from my window. I was there with a wedding party and it was the perfect pick. I would absolutely stay here again.

We highly recommend! Fran, the Innkeeper, was so friendly and helpful from the beginning of the process for our wedding 2 years ago. My family reserved all 6 suites for the weekend of the wedding and we loved and cherish our stay! Fran went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy. She made us feel like family and even helped a friend in need after a car accident. Everyone was ok! Everything was so cozy and convenient in historic downtown Wilmington. We would do it all over again!

Stemmerman's Inn was the perfect choice for our stay during our wedding weekend. Its location couldn't have been more ideal, situated close to our venue and all the downtown activities. Innkeeper Fran's hospitality was exceptional; she was attentive, sweet, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The inn itself was immaculately clean, making our stay all the more enjoyable. We highly recommend Stemmerman's Inn for anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay in the heart of downtown.

This place is really incredible. The beds were very comfortable and the whole thing was super cute. We stayed there for an event at 128south and the pairing is perfect. Fran who was the point person really went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was really great and that the event went off without a hitch!

I travel all over the world and there is no better host than Fran!! She is a truly the kindest, warm and welcoming person that you will ever meet. She made my stay in Wilmington enjoyable and easy. Fran took care of everything and offered local sites and suggestions. The Inn is in a great location: close to dining and the waterfront. I am looking forward to another stay soon!

I've been a repeat visitor at Stemmerman's for going on 4 years now. I'm always astonished how this lovely inn isn't more popular than it is. Though for selfish reasons I must admit I wouldn't want my secret becoming too sought-after. Fran the innkeeper and her staff do an outstanding job keeping this Wilmington gem clean and welcoming for their guest. The mattresses, pillows, sheets, blankets, comforters and towels alone make this a 5-star inn. Definitely the thickest, comfiest and cleanest I've ever come across in my travels. Trust me when I say you will have a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The free parking space located directly across the street is another reason why I stay here. You'll typically pay $20/day at the downtown hotels plus tips for the valets unless you want to hike out to retrieve it yourself. The access you have to all of the downtown bars, restaurants and shopping is another reason to love this location. Everything is within short walking distance so you're free from having to search in vain for parking during peak season. Staying here is basically like having your own private little apartment in downtown Wilmington only without all the Airbnb type headaches. Fran treats all her guests like gold and is a wealth of information if you need restaurant or activity recommendations. Enjoy your stay! 🙂

I booked this room as a romantic weekend getaway. It went beyond my expectations. Way beyond. Fran, the hostess, was the embodiment of friendliness and personal service. She got me into the room quickly and without a lot of fuss. The room was by far the best I've ever stayed in. Think of the coziness of a tiny home. It was amazing. I had a wonderful view of the battleship from our window. We had our dinner on the patio, which also has a river and battleship view. It was quiet. Even downtown with all the people coming and going in the streets along with an airport not too far away, the room was surprisingly quiet. You are downtown, so you are within walking distance of so much to do. Shopping, food, and entertainment are all just a short walk away. I truly did love this place and will return. I can't think of a better place to stay downtown than at Stemmermans. I have and will continue to tell my friends about this place.
