This place is such a gem and the owners are as well! It’s very welcoming and comfortable. I appreciate how well lit it is on the outside when arriving at night and the delicious breakfast in the mornings. The front door and each room has a secure lock and each room is very private and comfortable. Have stayed twice and will be back. Thanks so much to the incredible hosts!
We stayed 3 nights at the Beiderbecke Inn, and it was wonderfully comfortable. The house has been beautifully remodeled, and is filled with antiques. There are beautiful shaded porches outside that were comfortable even in the summer heat. Our hostess is a wonderful cook and provided fresh cookies in the afternoons and a delicious breakfast every morning. We also enjoyed meeting the other guests at the big breakfast table and learning about the history of the house. The Inn is very conveniently located near many interesting places around Davenport And the Quad cities. I highly recommend Beiderbecke Inn!
This is a fantastic B&B! The house is gorgeous and beautifully/authentically decorated in the Victorian style. It is located in a neighborhood of similar historic homes. I've stayed at a lot of B&Bs and these hosts were the nicest I've ever met. So warm and friendly! And they shared a wealth of information about the home and the history of the town which really enriched the experience. The breakfast was outstanding. Everything was perfect and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this B&B!
This was such a beautiful inn. We stayed over this weekend and had a wonderful time. The view of the bridge is beautiful. Our room had a whirlpool tub, which was the main reason we booked it, and it did not disappoint! The owners are very attentive and sweet, and the omelets in the morning were delicious! Truly a perfect destination for romance or a little getaway. Thank you so much for our lovely stay!!
We stayed in the Master Bedroom, the Mississippi Rose Room. Loved the little outside balcony above the front door. It was too cold and windy to use it, but we did take a peek. It would be a great place to relax in warmer weather. The queen bed was comfortable. The furniture, the bed and dresser, matched. Almond French Toast for breakfast was delicious. The history given of the house and town were exceptional. We were given a hand crocheted dishcloth as a gift to remember them by upon arrival. Pam crochets them. There were chocolates in a cute little box on our bed and other candies and snacks in the room also. Everything was very clean. There is a separate tub and shower in this room. The shower is a corner style. Plenty big enough for me but if you're a large person it might be a bit small. Definitely would stay here again and would like to bring friends with us.
My favorite B&B of all time! It's beyond gorgeous and very comfortable. The breakfast was satisfying and included great conversation with the owners and other guests. If you like history, Pam and Dennis can tell you all about the house and the area! My favorite spot is the balcony of the Mississippi Rose Room. It's very relaxing to get a cup of tea and watch the sun set over the river and Gold Coast architecture. I've stayed there twice and would happily return.
A Bright Light On A Hill Beiderbecke Inn will be a welcome surprise to even the most experienced B&B travelers. It is a given that B&B owners are justifiably proud of their historic structures and often regale with tales of restoration. At this location the restoration work by Dennis and Pam LaRoque is on a higher plane. Dennis, who has an E.E. degree, rather than going to a lumber yard and purchasing a replica piece of molding, actually sought and found the same tools used to carve the original molding and hand made the piece! They say from the microcosm you can know the macrocosm. That detail alone should prepare you for more surprises to be discovered during your stay. They both cook and the food was great. The outer reflects the inner is another saying and here the occupants are clearly endeavoring to let their lights shine in the world.
