Sleep Inn University

Decent hotel for a very affordable rate. If you need to be close to Aggie football stadium and basketball arena, this is the best location. There is a path that takes you there if you are on foot (I wouldn't walk alone but I did see big groups walking together from the hotel over to the football stadium). It's a little bit far to the football stadium but very close to the basketball arena (Pan American Center). I could see both from the hotel window. For the price I paid, I can't complain about the room. If I paid more I'd probably list things like; they need to dust a little better, etc. (minor things). There was a free breakfast. Also not going to make complaints about free food. I chose to try the Bean coffee shop and Cafe de Mesilla instead for breakfast. Loved both of those places. Had K-Bowl, owned by local Korean family., for dinner. Yummy! This hotel is in a great location if you need to be near the college. It's not a far drive down to Old Mesilla.

I usually stay at Sleep Inns when I travel or try to use Choice hotels. this is the second time I have stayed in this one in Las Cruces New Mexico. the first time it was an okay experience, but this time there was a big different experience. I arrived the afternoon and was greeted by the Manager, Mrs., Ray Patel with a great beautiful smile was very helpful and made me fill very welcomed. The next morning again the manager was there same big smile and very friendly, even her staff they asked if they could do anything for us just to ask. my room was Great the bed was comfortable. I had the same comfort as home, and I felt like I was in my home, I want to thank the management and her staff for running a great hotel. hope to see you soon next time I'm in Las Cruces New Mexico, keep up the Great work, this should be a sleep in standard. 5 stars well deserved. I stayed at the Sleep Inn. I posted a positive review (by accident) about the Comfort Inn (right next door) ||||I stayed here at the end of March. Everything went smoothly. They let me check in early. Room was updated. Towels and bed linens were clean and had been replaced from the last hotel guest. Water and shower were hot and worked well. Room was quiet. Breakfast was good. This hotel is in convenient walking distance to many eating places. My first time staying in a Comfort branded property. Was pleasantly surprised. I will be returning. We stayed in room 303, the bathroom was too small and the door to the bathroom(pocket door) was very hard to open from the inside when fully closed. The stairs up to our room looked like they had not been vacuumed in a long time. The front desk person was very nice, other than the bathroom the room was nice, and the room rate was reasonable.

I had bed bug in my room and staff of hotel refused to assist in making it right, still charged me for the room. They claimed I stayed in the room overnight even though I checked out, and the manager refused to talk with me. One of the worst experiences I’ve had with a Choice hotel I am a diamond member I stay at choice hotels all the time and this was by far the worst service. They were treating me like it was my fault my room had bed bug they treated me horribly and all I wanted was a refund and compensation for the bites up and down my body and for contaminated my personal belongings but instead they took no accountability. I will be taking further action.

When I first checked in they put me in someone else’s room or an uncleaned room. Went down and got it fixed pretty quick but still made me very nervous about the stay. The walls in the room were so dirty and the pool was "open" but the bottom of it was all full of dirt and nasty.

My family stays at this motel a lot! The people are usually nice and are happy to meet our needs. The breakfeast is ok most of the time. But this time was different. The breakfeast was horrible. The waffle mix was mostly water and what would cook stuck to griddle, no syrup , the orange juice was clear water and the apple juice was more than 3/4 water. I left my phone charger and an extention cord in the room when I checked out. I called that night but could not get anyone to pick up the phone, so I called next morning and asked if the maid turned it in. NO, I did not get it back. We most likely wont be staying there anymore.
