Suburban Studios San Angelo near Convention Center

I stayed in this hotel & it had some downfalls. Unfortunately breakfast wasn’t the greatest. They were short in food. A lot of people were extremely upset due to this. We had issues with the toilet that wouldn't flush correctly. Maintenance man advised that the building was built incorrectly and that was the reason towards it having issues. The bed sheets had brown stains. The room itself was nice but needs repair. There was missing paint on the restroom door. Black stains on the shower curtain. By the bed next to the nightstand there was trash from a last stay. Hallways heading to your room were extremely warm. The elevator jumps every time you select the 5th floor. I honestly wouldn’t recommend spending your money here. There can be any other location for the same price or a bit more for a better nice stay. Hope this helps someone

The staff in the hotel part was nice but that was it. The breakfast offered was the smallest in options we've seen and disappointing. We were excited the hotel had a bar and restaurant but had horrible service . The first night we kept getting ignored when we wanted to purchase more beer/drinks. By the way, the kitchen sink nachos was a joke at $18. The second night we went in thinking everyone has an off day and will give them a second chance. No one ever came over to our table so after 20 minutes we left. The hotel room was subpar but we expexted an older room but we didn't expect things not to be wiped down properly amd find hair and drinking glass stains. I can't honestly suggest this hotel to anyone.

The ceiling in the bathroom was falling down due to previous water leaks. If you fix the leak look for and repair damages to other rooms. We had a flood at home, because we were local they charged a $200.00 cash deposit. Was told it’s "to keep the trouble out." Completely ridiculous!! Upon checkout was made to wait 30 mins while they went and inspected the room for damages. Will never recommend this hotel to anyone

the early morning front desk gentleman was so professional. rooms clean and the stay was over the top. the front doors were left open 24/7 and because of so much negative air coming in from the adjacent smoking area the smell came in and down the hall. was told the belts were broken and have been for sometime. the area in front of the smoking benches was very stained and dirty. customers walked on the area coming and going. that was the outside again the interior was great very good. there is a lot of noticeable normal wear and tear, but it is getting closer for redo. the property should have positive air for insects, dust, and smoke when you have a fault with the doors.

First I want to say Ms. Amy was a life saver. We first went to Woodspring hotel which was nasty. We called Suburban Studies and Ms Amy was the best. Not only did she greet us and give us a room during one of the largest rodeos but she gave us a fantastic rate and made our days. We arrived, we were greeted by Ms. Amy and she gave us great ideas where to eat.|The next day we had the opportunity to meet Trinity and Mary. They made our stay just as memorable as Ms Amy. |We highly suggest this is the place to be. It’s an older hotel but is is very clean. Housekeeping is very pleasant. |David and I highly suggest this is the place to stay. The breakfast is wonderful. Make the best omelettes. |Don’t miss the opportunity to stay here.

Stay here at your own risk. There were multiple bed bugs in our bed! Thankfully, we were able to get a full refund. The service at the downstairs restaurant was the worst service I’d ever had. We were told to seat ourselves then waited at our table for 20 min while the servers walked past and ignored us. Rooms and halls are not clean and hotel service is bad.

This is a budget hotel in need of updating. General maintenance would help like gluing the baseboard back to the wall rather than having 6" hanging off by the door. Shower curtains need to be cleaned regularly and they are not. Also, the ACs need to be left on. The 6th floor gets warm and it takes a couple of hours to cool it off. Both times I have stayed there they were off. Also off in the halls.
