Golden Gate Park – Pioneer Log Cabin Picnic Area

Huge, huge park! There was a lot of room for us to camp, and all other campers around us were pretty far because there’s a lot of space. Lots of kids running around too, and with the street closures due to COVID, you can walk, bike, skate, run… safely! Biggest issue is that there are also unleashed (and unattended) dogs

I love this place!!! A lot!!! Many ways for walking, very peaceful butiful park.

Good for setting up a slackline. Pick a spot where there are no bees hovering the grass. You don't want to step on one.

Love ggp for a Go Game Lawn games

Walked around the lake. It was so beautiful and there were so many different paths to explore we are going to have to go back a few times to see it all. Lots of free Street parking available and very stroller friendly.

Great space for a team building event. Uneven ground and not super close to bathrooms. But easy to get to and from. Somewhat secluded from the crowds.

Reproduction of a cabin in which some pioneer family lived and was located on the peninsula that would become San Francisco. Fortunately for them the cabin wasn't located high in the Sierra Mountains or they would have become involved in the Donner family fiasco.
