Nice, well maintained campground. The views are awesome but depends on your campsite. We were lucky to get one with the best views, especially during sunset! Park staff were friendly and informative. Everyone was considerate of quiet time and we had a restful sleep especially with the ambient sound of waves crashing. You can only use a propane fire pit, no tent stakes either. It wasn’t windy so it wasn’t a huge deal. We just used our stuff to anchor the tents. We will definitely be back if we get lucky enough to snag a good site!

It’s hard to find a campground like this anywhere near L.A. Reservations are extremely difficult to get, which says it all. The restrooms and showers are outstanding—hot water is available, which is rare for campgrounds, and everything is very well maintained. That said, the coin-operated showers don’t always work, so make sure to check beforehand and bring an extra coin just in case. With these facilities and views, there’s really nothing lacking. Note that you can’t drive stakes into the ground or make a campfire, so bring a gas fire pit if needed.

Beautiful campgrounds, clean, including clean restrooms and showers, great staff at a location with views of the water that are just incomparable.

This beach is truly something special. Just a little north of Main Beach in Laguna, it offers a peaceful, scenic escape that feels like a hidden gem—especially for those in the know. What I love most is the long stretch of sand. Even on weekends or during the summer, you can often find a quiet spot to yourself. On my most recent visit (you can see from my photos), I practically had the whole beach to myself. The views are absolutely breathtaking—classic Southern California beauty at its finest. You’re allowed to bring food and drinks, which makes it great for picnics or full beach days. Parking is generally manageable, with an upper and lower lot plus a few in-between spots. Just keep in mind it’s a state beach, so parking is $15 for the day, and they accept card only—no cash. One important note: to access the beach, you’ll need to walk through a short tunnel that sometimes floods. It’s a quick walk, but be prepared to take off your shoes and lift your items if needed. Also, dogs aren’t allowed on this beach, which is good to know in advance. Despite the minor quirks, this is hands-down my favorite beach—and I say that as a California native. It’s serene, spacious, and stunning. A perfect slice of coastal paradise.

Site #35, 42, 43. Medium sized campground with a mix of full hook-up sites and primitive tent sites. Campground is on a slope so all sites have an ocean view. It can be hard to get into during the summer months due to its proximity to the beach. Beach access is via a tunnel in the adjacent Crystal Cove Day use area. Beautiful beach that stretches for miles north and south of the campground. The campground has clean flush toilets and hot showers. There are several hiking trails in the area, but the real draw is the beach.

Great campground on the bluffs. All sites have views of the water but sites 51 to 60 face the water first row-but these are tent sites only. Large sites with parking for at least 2 vehicles. Both hard surface bike paths and mountain biking nearby.

1st time staying there this week and absolutely loved it. It is one of the newest and nicest parks I have camped at. The place is so well planned out with diagonal spots that make pulling in and out so easy. The bathrooms and facilities are maintained and sparkling clean. The free Wi-Fi was a welcome bonus. I love the tiers as each level has a view of the ocean. The sites are deep with plenty of room from your neighbors. The sunsets every night were amazing. Bring your propane fire pit as other campers have written. The beach is so amazing. The cove to the south is my favorite. The tunnel to the beach can get flooded, but the water is shallow to walk through. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. I can't wait to go back. **update 6/14 Just got back from another trip here. This has to be the best campsite in SoCal. **update 8/27 Can't wait to go back here. Amazing park **update 6/13/24 always a great time here. **update 7/21/24. Back again and loving it! The ants are crazy during summer!!! Any crumb left out they will find. Bring your DE to put around your tires and don't leave food open! I was lazy and had a huge ant infestation today! **update 11/23 The staff is amazing. So friendly and helpful. I checked in late and they even called to give me the gate code. Moro is second to none.
