Tecolote Shores

Great place to stroll and cool off during hot weather . Beautiful scenery.

I love this area of Mission Bay! The place offers lush green grass, well maintained restrooms, a great play ground for the little ones and ones of heart, and great picnic areas, including a pavilion. This is a great place to bring the family, have a picnic, celebrate a birthday, or just come to relax and go for a walk like I did. Parking is free.

This park is located in the Mission Bay area of San Diego. Tecolote Shores was the start and finish section of the Mermaid half marathon, which is a spectacular, well run race. Participants get a cool shirt, a necklace, great scenery, and probably the coolest finisher medal that we have all ever seen. If you're a runner and live near the area, this is a fantastic race!

Beautiful space with lots of grassy area for family and friends gatherings and for kids to run around. Plenty of areas to park but still parking can be challenging specially in the weekends.

This brand new playground was so fun to experience with my daughters. It was right next to the Bay so they were able to enjoy the water as well. Only thing to consider is that the bathrooms are a walking distance and for children that can be a bit of an inconvenience. Other than that, we loved the playground

This is a very nice place to do the barbecue or have a party with the family the only thing is is homeless has started to invade the areas and it kind of brings down the value another issue is the trash that people leave behind leave it better than you found it. If people just would pick up their trash it would be so much better if you drive around Fiesta Island it is nothing but dirt and trash I gave it three stars because I do dragon boating there and I do Jeep events there but the trash that people leave behind is just ridiculous

It's great to walk around in the morning, starting from the park it takes about 12 miles to walk around the bay. Along the way there are bathrooms and playgrounds. Another day I also took my kids to the playground it's fairly new and they loved it
