Jefferson Township Park

nice small park outside ft wayne. camper spots are level and tidy. there's an RC airplane club, antique train/machinery club, and astronomy club all adjacent to the park. Opal was a touch brisk initially answering the phone but warmed up quick. I think I woke her up. only downside is the water is very sulfurous.

I tented here for two nights. You can't beat the prices! The owner is quite pleasant & accommodating! This place is very quiet, spacious & well kept. Though I wasn't able to watch, there was an antique tractor pull on Saturday. The Star Quest Observatory is open to the public (weather permitting) on Saturday nights. So that was a bonus! There is a fishing pond/lake. I'll be fishing that on my next stay!

Beautiful park, sites with hookups. Restroom and showers not great but usable. They were flying remote control airplanes while we were there. Not a destination site but if you need a place to stop and rest up this place is great.

This camp ground is very peaceful and quiet. We like staying the weekends here. Super friendly, pets are welcome, shower house and restrooms. Yes there are trains that move through constantly BUT you get used to them. The lady that runs the park is Super friendly. (This place is first come first serve)

Reminded me of all other fairgrounds. We were the only ones there. Glad it was only one night, didn't trust the water. It came out black! Cleared up quickly, but still didn't want to drink or cook with it! The dump station was literally, a hole in the ground! Lift the old garbage can lid and put your sewer hose in!

truck pulls were awesome to see while camping a weekend for only 20 bucks!!

Love this place! Only camped here a few times in the last 50 years, but next year we will be here most of the summer. My grandpa used to take care of this place, so been coming here for most of my life... His picture is in the glass display case at the pavilion... Opel is wonderful!!
