Odetah Camping Resort

We just spent a long weekend at Odetah and it was wonderful. The manager, Sean, and Shari-Ann in the office, were so friendly and helpful. Every employee greeted us with a smile. The food from the Oasis cafe was great, with delivery to your campsite. The entire campground is well landscaped and very clean with incredible lake views. There's plenty of activities for adults and kids. We can't wait to go back.

So I made a lot of Rookie Mistakes that I will share so others won't make as well. We checked in after hours 5pm... around 5:40 1. If there is an amenity that you really want to use and is the reason you stay here, like the Hot Tub... I should have called and confirmed ahead of time 2. You can NOT dump black tank at all of the sites... there is not a sign at our site... my husband didn't realize... and someone came by and asked and he was honest... which becomes a $200 fine... A sign at the site would be helpful... they may have told us if we checked into the office vs afterhours... 3. Activities are mostly all on the weekend... we came Sunday evening and started our day on Monday...after hours. So many ammenities and activities were not available. Showers are nice... lovely trees... So, right now, I am definitely disappointed

We, as a family have been coming to this camp ground almost every year since I don't know. Always during October. I have to say it has been pleasurable, and fun during Halloween activities. I have always put up our small toddler fence so my wife can decorate with Halloween items, including standing corn stocks up against, so u cannot see the gate. But this year 2025, October, 23, there appears to be a gentleman who demanded that the "dog fence" which i showed him was not, and showed the dogs were in fact on a leash. He didn't care. Can you say unhappy employee. The camp ground closes in 7 days. Then let's add that the place is infested with flies. I couldn't eat outside due to the flies landing all over everything. We moved into the camper to eat and they were all over the camper. As soon as you open your door 10 fly in. Completely disgusting. Please, if you take away anything from this, don't stay here unless you're ok with flies all over your food and vehicle.

We visited Odetah this past weekend during their annual Halloween weekend. When we arrived Friday night, we unfortunately had an issue with power at our site which couldn't be resolved that evening, despite the efforts of several park staff. However, the next morning, the park's general manager and another worker showed up to keep working on the problem. They were able to fix it and got our power back on for the rest of the weekend! Throughout the situation, the staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to run our generator that first night despite their park policy against generators. We were given a refund for our weekend, which was unnecessary but much appreciated. We had an amazing time and were really impressed with the staff, the park and all the upgrades they have made since we last visited. We will definitely be back!

This campground I think is the best in CT . It is so clean and well taken care of. They have so much to do there. The pool and jacuzzi are huge they have cabanas, lake, ice cream shop, coffee shop, restaurant, a band stage, mini golf, tennis, bingo ect. We are definitely going back

So happy we found this place! We have been here three times so far and have enjoyed every stay. Nice, friendly, professional staff. Ladies in the store/office are absolutely fantastic. This place is clean and quiet. We will return many times. Thank you for your efforts in making this place great.

After planning for many weeks for a fun filled Halloween week at odetah campground, we arrived on a Wednesday afternoon for a 5 night stay. We have stayed here for many years and have put up a baby gate every year for our dogs( they were still on leashes), it was never an issue until this year when a very rude manager came to our site and told us to take it down. We immediately took it down. The next 2 days we were infested with an incredible amount of flies in and out of our camper. We looked on trip advisor and saw this was an ongoing issue. We wrote a review on the campground while we were camping. The next morning the very disgruntled manager knocked on our camper loudly and told us we were being evicted, immediately ( which is illegal)!!. I am soooo disappointed in this campground and would never recommend it to anyone!!!
