Such a unique experience! If you enjoy this type of workout, this studio is definitely the place to challenge yourself and grow. I absolutely love it! I’m not from the US - NYC, but whenever I’m in town for work, I never skip my check-in!
Been working out here since the start and it’s been amazing to see how the company has evolved as I have. The practices are the best workout in nyc, hands down. The facility does not have showers but plenty of changing rooms. So, plan your day accordingly. Honestly, if you’re not comfortable in your own sweat, you’re probably ingesting something you’re allergic to, let’s be real. I actually own a business in the same building and the water is the worst. I installed a tank under my office so I’m guaranteed hot water. So, in the long run it is better that they are not giving you false hope on working showers. The facility is clean, the coaching is intense and the athletes are amazing. A lot of people give "cult" reviews but it is a community that will welcome you. See you in practice.
Have only had amazing spin and bootcamp experiences with AARMY. The spin classes are full of fun energy and leave you feeling happy and recharged I ended up taking a 90 minute bootcamp when the spin class I wanted was full. I was a bit terrified because I have a couple of injuries, but everyone was super warm and reassuring. Akin provided modifications and even taught exercises specific to my shoulder issues during class I’ve been feeling pretty discouraged about workouts after being injured because I haven’t been able to do my favorite sports. AARMY was such an encouraging and supportive atmosphere, I was surprised at how much I was still able to do. Would highly recommend it!
The workout is good. Definitely one of the harder classes in NYC. I just wish they kept the place cleaner. Every time I do the boot camp I feel like I'm gonna come out with ringworm, and the cycling class is a literal sauna except instead of steam it's other people's sweat. At the if they could swap out the soggy yoga mats between bootca o classes I would really appreciate it. Good vibes, good workout though.
As my birthday present, I planned a few days of vacation in NYC and among the things I must do was to have a practice in person at Aarmy; and I can say that it was an experience that exceeded my expectations; I still dreaming and thinking it is unreal and I have no words to tell how much this place means to me. It is more than a Gym, it is a community, a place of transformation, here you came and your mindset change. The environment and energy here invites you to seriously believe that everything is possible, knowing that you are capable of achieving everything you dream of and beyond. With perseverance and a beautiful team behind encouraging you all the time, you absolutely go further. I took the bootcamp and cycling practice with Akin, a wonderful human being and a great professional, the effectiveness of the technique and the results are noticeable in the whole team; someone is always finding the way and go further. Needless to say, the facilities, the staff, the services, the coaches, the athletes, 10/10. I loved the experience and will definitely take the online classes while I live outside the States and NY (which is my dream one day). Thank you AARMY team! I love you lots!
Amazing place to train. All classes are high level training so keep in mind that if you don’t normally train you may have a hard time following up with everyone. Still, they are so welcoming to newbies, the installations are pretty nice but there are no showers. Bootcamp class with any coach is amazing. Akin Akman is super well aclaimed and worth the hype, he’s really nice towards fans.
15/10 experience! If you enjoy CrossFit and HIIT but want something more gentle on the joints but still SUPER challenging, Army is perfect. I also love that it’s family owned, you really feel that welcoming energy. Also the entire studio is squeaky clean with conscious 🌱 products throughout. 100% will be back
