Curley Community Center

This is a wonderful resource for the community! A beautiful renovation! They have a great room for my toddler and a decent weight room. However, their maintenance and management is lacking. They have a poor room distribution, with most rooms sitting empty most of the time. And very crowded exercise rooms. Just by moving equipment they could make more capacity! They could also benefit a lot by labeling spots for weights. They have twice the five pound plates they could ever need, but no 2 1/2s. And whole racks will be unusable for lack of an extra bar.

For starters, it’s free for Boston residents so it’s tough to complain too much. That being said, holy smokes this place is already run down. Half of the machines have been broken for months, the sauna and steam room almost never work and the restrooms stink. At this point I’d almost rather have the old L back

I was there for the opening a few years ago 38 million dollar renovation. Best beach swim facility around with outdoor showers. The gym ihas a punching bag that is cut in half, no speed bag, cable machines are broken and the steam room 8/10 times is out of order. I don’t complain because it’s free but they can do much better. I won’t go there except to go to the beach. Wish it was better. For a new facility DCR has its work cut out.

After they finished the renovations, this gym is a gem in the rough. At no cost to Boston residents, the quality equipment, sauna, steam room, showers, and beach front location make it something special. Be careful- peak hours are busy!

Best gym community center has everything to offer just wish we could figure out how to keep it open for 24bhrs a day for is people who work crazy hours and can't make it during short day and evening hours and those of us who struggle with sleep and loneliness it would help out with our mental health and physical health issues. 🩵💯✌️💪

This gym is incredible. A safe, clean, modern place with the nicest employees. Really proud of the decision makers in Boston for prioritizing health and making this gym accessible and safe for all Boston residents.
