MadMen Studios is the best camera shop and photo studio in all of Anchorage. I used to religiously go to Stewart’s Photo for lens rentals and always enjoyed my trips over there due to great customer service from Amy and Jeremy, it’s fantastic to see that they’ve started their own spot now. I’m very happy to be able to get the same customer service and rentals at a much more affordable price from people that know their craft so well, whether you are a professional, amateur or merely passing through town MadMen Studios is the place to go for all of your photo/video needs

Be sure to ask for your receipt! Nice guy at the front desk, everything seemed fine but he didn’t tell me our total and I didn’t see the price until I checked the receipt. They wanted $10 per roll for developing and an additional $15/roll just to scan the images. That was too much for me so I asked for a refund, guy at the front desk couldn’t do it and had to call the owner. Owner was helpful and processed the refund right away, but I wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t check my receipt because the guy didn’t tell me our total. Make sure you double check the prices!!

This is one of the best shops I have worked with around the US. I am a film photographer from Austin, TX doing remote work out in Alaska. They are the only place in Alaska I know that does film developing, scanning, and printing. They are also the fastest service on each of those services from any shop I have been to around the world. Friendly service and easy location to get to. I don't know what could be better!! A photographers dream!

This is definitely the GO TO place for all your photography and podcasting needs, Jeremy was extremely accommodating and professional with our special situation. The studio is impeccable and fully decked out, the camera gear was brand new. The customer service is truly exceptional

Came to Alaska as a tourist, wanted to rent a camera to take some pictures that could help me to bring Alaskan nature back home. And then I found them: Madman studios. You should choose MadMen studios not only because they are very friendly, not only because they know they job from A to Z, and not only because everyone working there is a competent, gentle honest person... you should choose them because they know how to get the poetry out of a context, a pose and a moment. Learning from them was crucial to improve my understanding of photography and prospective. Definitely a must if you want to enjoy an experience and not only rent a camera. Definitely a must if you want to support small businesses with experienced and enthusiast personalle instead of gargantuan black holes big corporations.
