Lambda Lounge
Lambda Lounge, nestled in New York, is a diverse gay bar that caters to a mixed crowd, reflecting the spirit of Harlem. The venue is known for its strong drinks, although they come at a higher price point. The music selection is a hit-or-miss, with some nights offering a great atmosphere and others falling short of expectations.
The service at Lambda Lounge can be inconsistent. Staff can sometimes be overly invasive during security checks and there have been reported issues with transparency regarding automatic gratuities. The venue's maintenance could use some attention, as the VIP area and other sections may appear worn out. Despite these drawbacks, Lambda Lounge has its moments, offering a unique experience with a good hookah and a generally friendly staff, even if there is occasional room for improvement in their service.

Customer Reviews
Lambda Lounge has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 based on over 140 reviews on Google
Went to this club and was very disappointed. First red flag they had a male security searching females. Music was terrible. Couch in what appeared to be a VIP area looked terrible. The price for drinks is ridiculous. When you look around in my honest opinion they need to close this place down and do some maintenance/renovation. Went there with five of my friends and we ended up leaving for somewhere else. Y’all need to do better!
A huge thank you to the club owners and every guest we met for their hospitality. Thank you for the atmosphere of goodwill, kindness, and loyalty. Thank you for the new, wonderful memories we can now relive. Russian neighbors from Harlem.
First red flag was the doorman searching inside my bag with his bare hands, no gloves, touching all over my personal property before he patted me down like he was TSA looking for weapons of mass destruction. The second red flag was that it was 11pm on a Friday and there were 2 other people there. The final red flag- the bartender added an automatic gratuity to my tab but failed to tell me about it. And it doesn’t show on the handheld payment device either. I only noticed that I double tipped when I looked at my receipt. It’s tough to support a black business when the staff practices deception- all for an extra $1.50. No thanks.
As opposed to the Brooklyn one, this is a complete vibe music wise. However much like the Brooklyn one, the drinks are EXPENSIVE but strong 🤷🏻 It’s a diverse crowd because it’s Harlem. Only downfall is that it’s a real tight space so when it gets crowded there ain’t really no room to dance and be free.
I ordered a hookah and paid $49 before I actually got it, that was a huge mistake. I was literally was ignored by the owner and bar tenders, after waiting a long while to retrieve my purchase. It seemed as though they tried to pull one over. Don’t trust them at all.
If you’re visiting from out of town. This place is dangerous. The owners allows his staff to be very disrespectful to customers. The owners are messy and participate in drama. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE.
T’was a bit dead on a Sunday night, but I enjoyed my time here. I come for the great music and hookah, they never disappoint. The drinks are always great with friendly bartenders, this night was no exception. A bit pricey but excellent quality and strength. Two doubles and I was good for the night. Usually it’s a guy making the hookah on the weekend and he does an excellent job. This visit it was a younger female and the hookah was weak with not a lot of drag (though the flavor was pleasant). I asked for blueberry mint and she brought me the hookah saying that she added a bit of peach as well (but peach was all I tasted). Probably wouldn’t order hookah again if she’s the one making them, but everything else was great.
