RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL bouncer. It seems like he loves challenging/arguing with anyone he gets the chance with. Ruins the atmosphere making one feel UNSAFE and driving business away. Could not last more than 15 min in here without hearing him yell/argue with someone new coming in through that door. Do not spend your money here only to get disrespected or yelled at. Save your dignity and chose another bar where you will actually have fun and be treated with respect.

Racist bartender ruined this place for me. Never had an issue with a bartender there until one day this older blonde woman with a beanie was working there. I went in and, after ignoring me for 10 minutes, I finally ordered a drink and she asks for my ID (Ive been coming here for 3+ years) I give it to her and she stares at it for 5 minutes. I get visibly uncomfortable because no one stares at an ID that long. She makes a comment about my appearance that I try to ignore. I ordered a tequila soda with a splash of cranberry when she finally gives me back my ID. She gives me a drink with just soda water and cranberry. I try to be polite and say I don't taste the tequila and she gets irrate and belligerent. I tell her to have a nice day because I'm leaving. She's starts yelling at me that something's wrong with my palate. Then she gets racist and starts asking me if I know what a "palate" is. I calmly tell her that I have multiple degrees and know what a "palate" is and walked out. I'll never go back. She was on something and the racism in her voice was so evil and egregious. I've never had a problem with any bartender there except for old racist blonde lady wearing hat. I'll never go back again. I hope they fire her. The door guy that throws IDs around sucks too.

As soon as I walked in, there was no warm welcome. Instead, the bartender—a short-haired woman—was busy taking shots with some patrons. My group consisted of four people, including one visiting from out of the country. From the hostility in her voice, it was clear she was either intoxicated or, frankly, racist. We showed our IDs, yet she questioned their legitimacy. One of us had gained some weight since their photo was taken, but that’s hardly unusual. She then denied us entry because one member of our group, who is from Japan, did not have her passport on hand—despite the fact that she had both her valid Japanese driver’s license and a photo of her passport. As we turned to collect our belongings from the table we thought we’d be sitting at, the bartender yelled at us that we couldn’t even be there. My message to Latinos considering this place: don’t. If you’re brown, turn around. Find a bar that actually welcomes you.

I genuinely love the mix for the light-hearted atmosphere and the wonderful staff, but as of recently, that hasn’t been the case. One of the taller staff members has an insufferable. He does a weird game throwing your ID/Passport/Driver’s license card in the air and very often it lands on the ground. Moreover, he lets people in based on vibes?? Just scan the card, and let people in "bro" (his is also his tag word). He’s obviously having a power trip as his first "real" job and doesn’t know how to behave. All of the other workers are absolutely lovely and I wish everyone interacted with them. In any other case. AVOID. STAY AWAY. If you like your dignity, this is NOT the place

Security was very rude tonight he was getting too aggressive with people. I understand people can be rowdy but he was doing too much with the yelling and aggressive tone. Felt very unsafe not a vibe

This is a favorite amongst so many that dwell within the Castro area. One of the most diverse areas that has no cover charge, amazing affordable drink options and the most understanding and caring staff. Marissa is a wonderful bartender, always paying close attention to detail to reamin relatable to her customers, not to gain more revenue from them, but to actually understand and give back to the community she loves. She is what caused me and my friends to continuously come back each time I came to visit San Francisco :)!
