Customer Reviews
The Nerd has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 based on over 1230 reviews on Google
Saw other reviews say they paid 5 bucks to get in..we didn't pay anything on a Saturday night. Music is good, servers are great. The place is grubby and cold, but lots of fun things to play and see. Also they have wrestling out the back.
I came here with a group of friends. We've been trying to hit up some of the nerdy spots in Vegas and this was obviously on the list. The first issue is that it was legitimately dirty in there. Like garbage on the ground levels of dirty. It was dead, which is fine, but when we walked in the bartender seemed annoyed? It was a strange reaction given how slow it was. You think he'd be happy for some business. Our group felt like the vibe was off, so we each ordered one drink and left. The drinks were okay, nothing special. The atmosphere was cool overall, but the bartender and the general condition didn't give us a great impression and we probably won't be back any time soon.
Really cool spot with bowling alley lanes, arcade, wrestling and science fiction memorabilia. Drink selection is decent. Marcus the bartender/security was very nice and efficient. They have a couple of specialty events that would be worth seeing. If you are an adult and in to any of these things, great place. They need to sell merch for their business. Didn't see a food menu. Loved it and will go back.
The atmosphere is basically the only thing going for this place currently. I've been here twice and my experience was the same both times. Very expensive watered down drinks, staff will turn your music off if they don't like it (doesn't matter if you paid for it to play), and a nice but ultimately empty feeling atmosphere. The games are certainly the best thing about this bar, but there is a price on just about everything. There's a $5 cover charge per person to get in, most games require money to play, and along with each drink being $15-$20 no matter what's in it, the bill WILL rack up very fast. Be prepared to spend over $50 on just drinks alone. Specialty drinks tasted great, but they were $20 no matter what was in them. It doesn't really seem to make sense for a drink with 8 different alcohols in it to cost the same as a drink with 3. I ordered a vodka cranberry hoping for a cheaper drink, and it was $15 and HEAVILY watered down. The drinks are also given in flimsy and small plastic cups. It was not a very great experience to drink here. The first time I went I was ignored by the bar staff for a solid 10-15 minutes waiting to ask a question about bowling as the staff continuously walked passed. I gave up on asking my question. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be coming here again. Even told my friends not to come here when they visit Vegas. I really wish I could like this bar, especially because of the ~special claw machine~ but I don't think I can.
$20 cocktails served on a paper cup. Unacceptable. $30 of gaming time is about 25 minutes or so. The bartender was super nice and friendly, but this place simply ain't it. I know gamer bars are dark but I legitimately didn't see anything. I almost tripped on the steps going to the bathroom. Complete tourist trap.
Stopped here with a group of seven while on vacation. Based on the pictures we found, we we're looking forward to the visit. We weren't aware of the $5.00 cover, but decided to pay it and check the place out. Boy were we disappointed! First thing we noticed was how filthy the place was! So very dirty! No way would we order anything to eat or drink from there. The place was run down, dumpy and just so very disappointing! One of the women in our group went to the restroom and she said there was dried up vomit all over the bathroom. Seriously didn't touch anything, sit anywhere or order anything. One quick walk around the place and we were out!
I don’t give 1 star reviews often but I am actually offended at how this business is run and feel the need to inform people not to waste their time here. My group was initially excited to come here due to a past reputation - iconic wrestling memorabilia and a Sabu mural caught my eye. However, it was all downhill from there. To start, I have no issue with the staff. The employee working there did just fine. Overpriced drinks (a $15 rum and coke???) and a tiny arcade where $20 only gets you around 30 minutes of play essentially ruined the excited vibe my group had coming here. We all left feeling like we wished we’d gone elsewhere. The claw machines were legitimately rigged (claws wouldn’t even close after multiple attempts) and the bowling wasn’t working despite being a ridiculous $20/person for 1 hour. There are posters up showing they’re sponsored by an NFT (in 2025 no less) so clearly they’re desperate. This is a tourist trap and a key business to look at if you’re researching the quick decline of Vegas and locals being priced out. Avoid avoid avoid.
