I'm so glad I did my research on this place first before I came here with my wife; this was an elegant place to visit. I requested some extra TLC because we were celebrating her birthday, and the staff didn't disappoint! From the beginning of service to the end, they wished my wife a Happy Birthday and coordinated with me to bring out her flowers at the right time. The food was delicious - we ordered crab mac & cheese as an appetizer to share, which was a generous amount for two people (the flavors just come together with each bite); my wife ordered the mahi mahi...it was the best I've tasted. I had the short rib, and I didn't even need a knife to cut through it - it was so tender. We were highly impressed with this place, so I know we'll be back eventually! Price wise: With the flowers added, an appetizer, two drinks, two entrees, and two desserts (plus 18% gratuity and taxes), you're looking at a range of $175 - $200 (so between almost $90 - $100 per person). Me? I DON'T CARE about that. I came prepared financially as any adult should. I just want my food to taste delicious and to have a good time at the establishment that I'm at. Both of those boxes were checked off, so...it was worth the money. Definitely recommended.

All around AWESOMENESS!!! Its themed to be reminiscent of a 1920s or 30s piano bar and this spot ABSOLUTELY nails it with the decor, the signage and the atmosphere!!! The service is fantastic and similar to the high class standards of the time, and the food is AMAZING!!!! Definitely a MUST for anyone who visits downtown Norfolk, it is located right next to the Roper Theatre on Granby Street (very appropriately) in the heart of downtown Norfolk and is walkable to the Monticello stop on the Tide light rail.

We visited this charming and cozy spot during Norfolk Restaurant Week. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and although the space is small, the layout was well-designed to feel comfortable and not cramped. With a reservation in place, we were seated immediately. Our server, Ashley, explained that all courses are ordered at once and food may take up to 45 minutes to arrive. We ordered from the preset menu, and appetizers arrived in about 15 minutes. The fresh salad and creamy crab bisque stood out—the bisque was rich and full of lump crab meat. For the second course, we tried the fried shrimp and crab mac and cheese. The shrimp were good, but the mac and cheese lacked seasoning and felt a bit disjointed. The buffalo chicken dip was a pleasant surprise—flavorful with perfectly toasted pita bread. For entrees, the market-fresh mahi mahi was cooked well but under-seasoned. The rice pilaf was slightly undercooked and needed more sauce to tie the dish together. The bone-in pork chop was just okay and also could have used more flavor or a sauce to elevate it. The wait for entrees was close to an hour, which was longer than expected. Overall, the food was decent, but seasoning and presentation could use more attention. Note: An 18% service charge is automatically added to the bill. If you go, definitely try the strawberry basil lemonade—it was light, refreshing, and the highlight of the meal.

Ray provided excellent service and was so funny and kind as well as professional. We ordered the charcuterie board, chicken alfredo, and desserts and everything was as delicious as the next! They have a mocktail menu but be VERY careful ordering and triple check it doesnt have liquor if you’re sober or pregnant.

We were so looking forward to celebrating our first anniversary here and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is beautiful and authentic without being over the top. Our server Tony was upbeat, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He was very attentive and gave great suggestions. As a vegan I LOVED the beyond meatloaf and my boyfriend had the short rib- he raved even about the side of carrots. Cocktails were impeccable- love that the menu was crafted to explore that era. Our favorites were the Vesper and the Dr. Fords Manhattan. Highly recommend!!

Had an amazing dinner here tonight. We got the charcuterie board as an appetizer and it was delicious and the perfect size. I got the orange glazed duck confit and it was superb! The rice that accompanied the duck was out of this world delicious!! I'm not a huge rice fan but I would go back just to have that again. Drinks were on point and everyone else in my party loved their food as well. Our server, Kyle, was great. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful as they were out of several things. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.

This is an American speakeasy themed dinner restaurant. They are closed on Mondays and open at 5 PM all other days. We made a reservation for 5 PM on a Sunday. No live music is performed on Sundays. It's a very narrow restaurant with linen covered tables. Laid back vibe, you can dress up or just come casual here. You get good value for the food quality here. Both the lamb and salmon were fresh and cooked to order. It took an hour to get our entrees. Be prepared to spend some time here. They have a fully stocked bar here. It's family-friendly, and a great place to bring a date or hang out with friends.
